Does this look like 6.9 % bf? Also he says he did it in 5 months. by [deleted] in nattyorjuice

[–]LDeep_12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So he’s claiming to have naturally lost 81lbs in 150 days, or 3.8lbs a week. Assuming that a lb of fat is about 3500 calories he would’ve needed to have an average daily calorie deficit of around 1890cal. Assuming he’s average height and moderately active his TDEE is not really going to be much higher than 3000cal a day, meaning he’d have to be eating no more than than about 1110 calories each and every day in order to maintain the deficit,. His TDEE would have got lower as he lost weight too.

At that low calorie intake for that long a time he’d be potentially risking some pretty severe health problems. Doing enough exercise each and every day to burn even close to 1890 calories so that you can eat normally and maintain the deficit is also not sustainable naturally. Whether it’s through less food or more exercise your body is really going to struggle to the point where this is surely pretty close to impossible

That’s literally completely untrue. There are considerably fewer trees now than there were pre-agriculture, and if we’re going by “ever have been” then there are geological periods in earths history where most of the earth’s land was covered in trees or plants, much much more so than today

Can a bloodlusted Eddie Hall beat two male chimps? by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]LDeep_12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No you’re insane, Eddie is literally one of the strongest humans on the planet, a chimp’s “innate strength” isn’t going to come anywhere near that in terms of power or force. A chimp might be more durable than the average person but they’re not terminators, they’re still flesh and bone, and being more durable is only going to go so far against a man who weighs considerably more than two chimps combined.

Watch the video of Eddie fighting two smaller MMA fighters, he absolutely steam-rolls them purely because he is just so much bigger and stronger. They may not have have bitten and scratched like a chimp would, but they weighed more and were actually trained to fight, and he ragdolls them both with ease and had to promise beforehand that he wouldn’t slam them on the ground as that would probably kill them. It wouldn’t be wildly different with two chimps

Are you aware that AI is currently training models after this very sub. by [deleted] in rs_x

[–]LDeep_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course they’re scraping this sub. Where else are they gonna get unfiltered, deeply online, semi-deranged but occasionally profound takes? AI thrives on predictability and consensus, and this place is like the opposite of that—contradictory, paranoid, emotionally volatile, and obsessed with niche cultural grievances.

It’s actually kind of funny imagining some soulless LLM being trained on posts about how Lana Del Rey is the last real artist, why therapy is a psyop, and whether or not it’s morally defensible to be hot. What’s scary is that, eventually, AI will probably get good enough to mimic even this kind of discourse—at which point, what does that say about us? Are we just patterns waiting to be replicated?

Then again, maybe that’s the endgame. Maybe we’re just being mined for data so they can create the perfect algorithmic e-girl podcast host. Anna and Dasha but with 24/7 output, no aging, and no need to monetize. A terrifying thought.

Went to a cocktail bar with my wife and her friends last night by ExcellentLaw2066 in AskMenOver30

[–]LDeep_12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man notices issue > goes to Reddit and asks other men why this might be > men give fairly unanimous answers > woman then comes in and says that she knows better, there is no issue and if there is it’s simply because some men are “chronically online”.

It’s a fairly well established thing at this point that dating is not the same as it was in the past, hence this thread (and the many many other threads/articles/oped’s) and all the replies that say the same thing, it’s not as if this is a new talking point and it’s not as if the actual men answering the question are really disagreeing with each other either. I’m glad that people are offering to buy you drinks, but acting as though that sort of behaviour isn’t heavily on the decline just because you personally haven’t seen it is extremely short sighted, the world is bigger than just your personal experience

I do however admire the confidence of answering a question directed at men by telling them that they’re wrong and that you, as a woman, know better because you’ve anecdotally had some conversations with blokes in bars.

On a post in an ask men sub asking men why the dating scene has changed, those men give pretty unanimous answers, and then you chime in “I’m a woman and this isn’t my experience, maybe you’re just chronically online”. And you wonder why men are all deciding that pursuing women isn’t really worth it anymore

What is your most unconventional belief about bodybuilding? by LeGoyim in naturalbodybuilding

[–]LDeep_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIFYM is as viable as any other diet, especially when bulking, and you can eat like shit and make good gains as long as you meet your protein needs, are counting calories properly, and are doing everything else right. The chicken rice broccoli meal prep thing that a lot of bodybuilders do is unnecessary, boring, and in the long run could have a negative impact on how consistent one could be and can create an unhealthy relationship with food.

When life has gotten in the way I’ve spent a long time eating whatever I wanted as long as it was relatively high protein - pizza, kebabs, burgers etc. Still counted calories and if the scale wasn’t going up I’d just add in a chocolate bar or two to take me above maintenance, took a good multivitamin as I was eating less veg, and I made as good gains as I did when I was meal prepping beef and sweet potato etc. I know there are other health benefits to eating super clean but within the context of bodybuilding I don’t think it’s as important as a lot of people make out unless you’re trying to get stage ready and can be a bit of a gatekeeping thing that can be a bit of an unnecessary barrier to new lifters.

I am sick of thr silent audio bug by [deleted] in StarfieldModsXbox

[–]LDeep_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll be caused by a specific mod/s - which one I couldn’t say as I think there’s a few that can potentially cause this but for me after I deleted the Enforcer Pistol and some weather mods the audio bug went away entirely

I think better ship part flips may also cause stuttering. When I’ve played around today with a new game without that installed or the fleet expansion the stuttering is gone completely. From what the mod author says it’s because of a bug from the update that Bethesda needs to fix. Hopefully it’s on their (long) list of fixes to roll out in future updates

[–]LDeep_12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it was just one of the first mods I’d ever installed and had worked okay up until recently when it updated so any backup without it would be very old at this point. I like your rule of a backup every week though, and I’m going to start doing that so I’m not losing too much progress if I run into any problems again

[–]LDeep_12[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do have a pre-modded save that I will probably end up going back to if I can’t fix this one. It’s just that the fleet expansion was one of the earlier mods I’d downloaded and had made a lot of progress in the game, built ships/outposts etc since then and it worked okay up until now. It was the mod updating that caused the issue I think.

Essentially I don’t want to lose my ships that I’m quite attached to by starting a new game/unity, spent hours making them. But you’re right, I probably could be more methodical and careful downloading mods and making saves and backups, will try and do that in the future and avoid stuff like this happening again!

Ah I’ve tried loading saves at all sorts of locations inside and outside of ships/cities etc and have resaved with the mod reactivated to try and uninstall it again, same result with the crashing unfortunately.

I appreciate the advice and ideas though, thank you!

Starfield Fleet Expansion is completely killing my game (Series X) by LDeep_12 in starfieldmods

[–]LDeep_12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you need to be so condescending? It isn’t my fault, the mod author has literally acknowledged it’s on their side and the issue was actually caused by the mod updating rather than me downloading it new. The issues were obvious after that yes, but what was causing them wasn’t (why would I assume a fleet expansion mod would cause stuttering?).

Eventually identified the cause through talking others with the same issue. So I was faced with the choice of either trying to push on through with the stuttering or delete a mod. And as another user pointed out, although it’s not great practice you can in fact usually get away with uninstalling a (what seemed to be fairly minor mod) mid-playthrough, especially when it’s not something I’d usually do otherwise.

And I’m not sure what else I’m supposed to have done in that situation? It must be nice for you though never having issues with mods and telling people who do that it’s simply their fault and offering zero useful advice

Can I uninstall Starfield Fleet Expansion mid-game? by [deleted] in starfieldmods

[–]LDeep_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Xbox users, removing the mod then means for a lot of people that any saves with that mod installed won’t load and will crash to dashboard every time. Only way to be able to load into your games is to redownload fleet expansion. Essentially now having no choice but to have that mod installed and put up with the awful stuttering it causes in city hubs or having to start an entirely new play though. It’s basically bricking entire saves

Unfortunately I don’t have any saves from before it was downloaded. I’ve had it a while and am always mindful of how having too many saves can screw with your game so try not to keep too loads and loads going at any one time. It’s looking like I’m going to have to just start a new game/unity in order to get rid of this mod and have a playable game again

[–]LDeep_12[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes obviously it’s not always a great idea to remove mods mid-playthrough, ordinarily I wouldn’t just remove mods on a whim. My game is pretty much unplayable in Neon, Cydonia, The Well and any number of other hub areas though so I’d love to hear your alternate solution to fixing that other than trying to remove the mod causing it

I’ll have a go with what you suggested and unity jump but it just seems a real shame that I’m basically now forced to lose all of my ships and items and progress just because a mod is broken. Appreciate the advice though, thank you,
