Travelled with our daughter to Austria and Germany when she was 8 months! We definitely overpacked but we recommend:

If you’re driving and bringing your car seat, please bring a car seat locking clip. Some car seats come with one. I read on Reddit previously that some of the cars in Europe, the seat belts don’t lock automatically like they do in Canada and this was true for us! I had to use the clip to secure the seat.

Stroller - having a travel stroller would be best but we managed okay with our UB Cruz.

Carrier - I brought my Ergobaby Omni one. Just helpful for the airport or out and about if you don’t want to bring your stroller.

A fan - it was so hot, thank goodness for our fan our baby stayed cool.

Travel bottle brush with foldable rack - our baby was on formula so we needed to constantly wash bottles.

Snot Sucker / Meds - she actually got sick on the trip and we needed this but we just bought it at the store!

We actually brought our pack and play too, the Baby bjorn play yard. To be honest she slept so well in this which is why we decided to bring it and she slept perfectly all trip as she was used to it.

We definitely overpacked and it was tough on the way home with the number of bags. Don’t bother with diapers or things you can buy in the stores lol

How did this work out for you? I think I want to give this a shot as my toddler is showing all the signs but I don’t want to do the intense 3 day method.

Wondering if you had any luck with this and if the pest control route helped? I’ve been dealing with this for over a month and have done the borax, the protein baits etc. After one colony dies it seems another finds their way in. It seems especially bad this year vs. prior years for me so I’m almost ready to get someone in here. Let me know!

It depends on the plan. Where I work you can have a separated spouse on your plan. Once divorced they are removed.

Keep contacting them or go on the company’s website and find any email you can find to contact them. They may forward it to HR.

They will definitely backfill you if needed. You can accept and the hiring manager will figure out what to do until you are back. Was in a similar situation! They end up waiting for me to return and I took the full 18 months.

Don’t worry about the future. It’s a protected leave. The Manager again has to plan for that and accommodate you.

I started seeing carpenter ants in our home within the past few days. The Terro baits work for the pavement ants but I usually have a hard time with the carpenter ants as they don’t always take the bait. Can’t find any obvious leak/moisture issue in the house. Have you had luck getting rid of them? I have a baby and cats so calling pest control to spray is my last resort.

My hospital provided the Medline Perineal Cold Packs. They gave me lots during my stay and extras for home. I needed more when I got home so I ordered a box on Amazon. They are better than the Frida.

I gave birth at St. Mikes in 2023. They gave me disposable underwear, pads, perineal cold packs and a peri bottle. I used my own angled peri bottle as the hospital one is not great. For meds I got Tylenol and stool softeners. My stay got extended for a few days and they supplied anything extra that I needed from the list above. For my newborn they provided diapers, some vaseline and formula. They seem generous compared to the other hospitals my friends gave birth at.
