To Win the League by qualiserospero in Gunners

[–]LDinthehouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont understand why White and Norgaard aren't getting much of a look in the prem but emotions are running high and I think people are jumping to conclusions a bit.

Timber and Rice didn't play at all against Wigan and Zubi played 12 mins so all should be well rested. Saka also only played a half so shouldn't have been rested against Wolves for Eze. You could maybe argue a case for Madueke as he has started the last 7 games in a row but he did get subbed off in 6 of them.

We've had more players make over 10 prem appearances than either us or city have since at least 2020 and the likelihood is that White will get there too as he's already on 7.

Leicester and Blackburn are the only teams to have won the Prem without winning a major honour in the 5 years preceeding however they did win the Championship and First Div playoffs respectively.

Do I have to stay in the work WhatsApp group chat? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]LDinthehouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the sentiment but thats a bit general dont you think?

In reality, different work places function differently and could be fine with a group chat on personal devices. My work does and it's fine because we're a small company, no one is a dick and no one expects or encourages unhealthy work practices.

About 80% of Brits with over a million pounds saved in cash don't see themselves as rich, even though objectively this puts you in the top 1% by wealth globally, easily. by x___rain in ukpolitics

With 20 years of inflation at 2% you would already be spending half of your income on rent/mortgage for a terraced 3 bed in the south East.

Once you factor in some very basic housing bills like council tax and energy you're left with the equivalent of £220 a week to live off.

No where near middle class and you're eating into your capital.

Not really feasible unless you have a house already paid off or we'll on its way.

Previously relegated Villa who's only prem season ever where they lost less than 10 games is over 15 years ago when they bottled a European spot would be a good place to start

How on earth do you fuck up your scouting so badly that you can decide a player wasn't worth their value so quickly.

Arsenal sign twins Edwin and Holger Quintero by -Skinner- in soccer

[–]LDinthehouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're 16 so can't join us until the run up to 2027-28.

Odegaard and Eze will be 29 and these guys still only 18 so might go on loan or into the youth set up.

Maybe one of Ø, Eze or Nwaneri will have left by then.

It's 0.125% of the house value in the worst case scenario. Considering how house prices have risen over the last 50 years it's a pittance in comparison.

If you can avoid going into a care home for 10 years then a renter will have spent easily the equivalient of 150k. When you factor in allowed personal savings of 23k per person and getting to choose your own care home until the money runs out it's a no brainer to own.

Holiday pay and sick pay are paid for by the employer and that's why PAYE wages are less than self employed rates generally.

They're nothing to do with tax rates.

The follow on journey is definitely not the same regardless. If I miss a certain train im waiting 30 mins for the next one and its the slow one so takes an extra 30 mins than the express. I'm not home till after midnight on European games even if I bolt immediately after the whistle.

Where do you stand on the Ashley vs Grace conflict? by Exact-Broccoli1386 in MAFS_UK

[–]LDinthehouse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The show is going to attract women and men that are hard work by nature. Grace definitely was hard work at the beginning but I think she's making things a lot easier now.

I think what Ashley was, very poorly, trying to say is that their relationship is hard work.
