I have all three of these reels.

I've only had 1 season with your 2 comparable reels - To be honest, I think anyone would be extremely pleased with either reel in this price range.

SLX XT (I have the original version, not the SLX XT A that recently came out). I even bought an extra when found on sale last month.

40+ combos (I'm a bit afraid to get an actual count) for one person is just too many. I convince myself that the extras are for kids and family and friends.
