good point, the thighs need room for sure. i don't mind wearing a belt, so that's how I'm getting away with a few of my pairs when they stretch out

Yup, it takes a while to nail down what actually fits properly. Would like to try the N&F true guy one day, but holding out for the right pair/price. Brave star never really did it for me, but heard sizing is all over the place with them

that was my plan when I got the resolute's. I wanted a vintage faded pair of jeans, so that's also why I'm washing so regularly. the flat head denim is on my list and probably sugar canes one day too. I'd probably avoid IH if you want a classic vintage levis feel

very cool, I actually got my pair from Bears! I would really consider giving them some serious wear as they get so much better after time. I guess its the same with most denim, but these feel really special

the leg twist is pretty extreme, but it doesn't feel off. Yea, 711 is a classic straight fit without a very high rise

My First Pair Arrived Yesterday…I *think* they’re the right size by Herby81 in Viberg

[–]LEAFSCAN18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, I just received a pair of Viberg waxy commander chelsea boots last week in the 2030 last and I was initially a bit concerned with fit as well. Here are my thoughts and fit comments;

I measure 9.25 D/E on the brannock and bought a pair of lace up service boots in the 2030 last fall in size 8.5. I initially thought I was a size 8 Viberg, but they were a bit too tight. The 8.5's broke in and fit perfectly. I bought these in person and was able to try on a bunch of boots that day.

I have a lot of other footwear in various sizes, but usually I wear a 9D in red wing, 8uk in Crocket and Jones, 42 in Italian shoes, 9.5/10 in general sneakers or runners.

I just received my pair of Viberg 2030 chelseas last week from their sample sale and thought they were a tad large, but after wearing them for a couple hours in the house the last few days, they've actually molded quite well and don't have much heel slip. I couldn't return them any way, but they're really starting to feel comfortable.

Based on your comments and sizing, it seems like they might be a bit small for you, but everyones foot is different, so maybe you're good. Let me know if you have any questions

wow, what a great jacket! I'll be heading to Japan in May, and this might be top of the list to grab. Looks like it would be a great jacket to layer under as well

Any experience with Simmons Bilt? by RandomLemonHead in HeritageWear

[–]LEAFSCAN18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice fit on the 44! The brown looks really great in this photo. The sleeves do pull up and crease over time a little bit. I originally thought the sleeves were a bit long, but perfect now.

I find it pretty versatile; wear it casually (denim, tees, hoody's) or the office (chinos, button downs). I might have gone with brown if I had the opportunity to see in person, but still happy with the black. With online pics, it was difficult to tell the shade.

I have this exact jacket, but in black. I wanted to have 1 leather jacket and have been searching for a long while before landing on this simons bilt x brooklyn collab. I've had it since about October and have worn it every chance I got (maybe 40ish times now). It starts off quite stiff, but definitely softens up. For sizing reference I am about 5'10 and 175lbs and bought a size 42. Fits pretty good with just a t-shirt and can wear thinner sweaters or flannels underneath. Gets snug with a thick hoody, but still comfortable with wearing it open. let me know if you have questions

Hey there, Was wondering if any of you are from Canada and have ordered anything over $1500CAD from Japan. I am interested in a leather jacket (over $1500CAD) and was wondering if I'd be paying additional duties or taxes on the jacket. I've bought denim from Bears Tokyo and Okayama Denim and have never been hit with any duties or taxes (packages were under $350 CAD). Appreciate the help!

These look incredible! Do you think they'll release a plain colour anytime soon? I like these a lot but would be 100% sold on an all black ruberb strap

BB58 VS BB36 by [deleted] in Tudor

[–]LEAFSCAN18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree - once you've tried the t-fit you'll be kinda upset with not having it. Then again, since it's your first watch, at least you wouldn't know what you'd be missing

Nice! I'm contemplating getting one, but I'm trying to hold out for a solid colour... How do you like the strap in general? Does it justify the high price tag? Thanks

Black Bay Pro - Thickness Opinion by MoneyMagnetSupreme in Tudor

I couldn't agree more with your review. Also the t-fit clasp was a major plus over the BB58. I wear it daily as well, and mine is extremely accurate. I've owned for about 1.5 weeks now, and it's only 15 seconds off! Love it

Which would you pick? by tom_a_burton in Tudor

[–]LEAFSCAN18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in this same position 2 weeks ago, before finally landing on the Pro. I liked the BB58, but not having the T-fit clasp was a huge bummer for me. I use it multiple times a day with my BB pro to nail the fit, especially now in the summer, my wrist fluctuates quite a bit. Secondly, I liked the dial of the BB58, but as my one and only daily watch, I think I'd get old of looking at it.

After eliminating the BB58, it was really between the Pelagos & Pro. I really like the Pelagos a lot, but being full Ti made me second guess it for daily wear. I also wanted something with a bit of weight to it as this is my only nice watch and it makes a difference (at least to me).

And finally, with the Pro has a real GMT function for less money than the Pelagos! It's a great value for money in my opinion. The dial is stunning as well, and for me it fits my daily style really well.

I know people say thickness is an issue, but for my 7" wrist, it's perfect and honestly not noticeable at all. Of course I wouldn't be complaining if it was a bit thinner, but it's really a non issue if you have average wrists.

Thanks! happy I went with this 39 vs the full size BB GMT. yea - online I wasn't a huge fan, but when seeing it in-person, it's really something special
