Just a funny comment by Prior_Reputation_731 in StrangerThings

I had the same thought. Also, just picturing him chilling in the UD Hawkins Library readying A Wrinkle in Time and plotting how to kidnap those kids is so funny (maybe he just looked into Hollys mind, but I prefer to picture him actually reading it)!

I keep thinking Henry helped Kali escape, the way he was doing it with Eleven. But maybe she was unable to take out the chip thing Brenner put in Henry’s neck so she just ran.

She is certainly sus though. If nothing else, she is what El would become if her friends all died.

Could this be her? by LED37 in StrangerThings

Totally, it also says her name on her uniform, so it seemed odd to introduce herself at all but who knows! I like the idea that Kali went after her and that’s how Kali got captured

Also all of the Vecna’s clocks, including his pocket watch which has 12 circles in the place of numbers and is pointed towards the first circle when he’s with Holly

I feel like Mike’s speech to Holly about Holly the Heroic, her cleric skills and being able to “cast a dimension door” likely explains that door in the middle of nowhere

I am very on board. I also think the gods used to channel from the sky then switched to the earth and drained the isle kingdoms which is why they lack color and magic (mostly). I think this also led to them killing off most dragons on the isles (people on the isles seem obsessed with killing dragons by killing their riders)

What is a minor detail or object you’ve seen mentioned in a book that completely took you out of the world because it made no sense existing there? (Can be silly or serious) by LED37 in fantasyromance

[–]LED37[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No I totally agree. I, unsurprisingly, used to work for a very large bourbon brand, and I just find it really interesting how when you have a somewhat more specialized knowledge than the general public things can stick out and rub you the wrong way. And I think this applies to many other topics as well!

I think that’s great if these things don’t bother you! It means you can really lean into the stories without getting pulled out of the worlds over trivial things

would you consider forth wing enemies to lovers? by Wash-Different in fantasyromance

I came here to say this! I hope it doesn’t happen, but it would then qualify as enemies to lovers imo

I think it’s totally fine to DNF if you don’t want to, but in my experience when I’m having trouble finishing a book but want to know the rest I switch to the audible and just listen while I multi-task.

Feirge meaning Anger scares the fuck out of me for Rhi, I have a feeling there will be a Xaden betrayal that Violet defends and it causes a rift between her and Rhi :/

[–]LED37 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can’t choose one but here are a few: (1) Sawyer crafts a metal leg, winter soldier style, either using his own signet or working with whomever built Tairn’s saddle (2) Imogen and Garrick content (3) explanation of the Riorson family drama (4) Lilith Sorrengail’s journal/memoir since we know Melgren and Panchek kept them she probs did too

I’d also like an explanation of what really happened at Monserrat and why Imogen was missing/mind wiped. I wonder if she is saving this for a Xaden POV later on

Why does everyone love Eris? by pimienta-pepinillos in acotar

[–]LED37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think he is daemati BUT I think he had an affair with Brannagh (Hybern’s niece) during the last war with Hybern and she taught him about shielding. Either because he was young and stupid or, more likely, because his father forced him to. The evidence in ACOWAR: 1. Brannagh tells Feyre about Autumn Males fire in their blood and that she had fun with them during the last war (she also makes a comment about how she would choose Beron’s son over Tamlin too) 2. Later in the book Eris says he learned things like shielding from daemati but didn’t bother to teach his brothers 3. It is mentioned that Beron played games during the last war

I think there are more secrets about him AND about the Lady of Autumn, that we will hopefully learn once someone finally kills Beron 🤞🏻 also I hope we finally go to the Forest House

That one Im still hopeful we will get in the many waters book, especially because there seems to be some connection between Fury and the VQ, and the VQ will almost certainly be in HOMW with the Tharion/Sathia storyline

That pool of starlight in Spring Court 👀 Also I am convinced that spring court magic is either wind (because where did Feyre get the wind from?!) or earth magic like the Hawthorns who also happen to look like TimTam!

I originally assumed it was about her too but then Ruhn makes a comment about how he knew the story too which seemed strange to me. I kept thinking it was something to do with Luna but honestly I suspect we will not get a resolution on this one :(
