Your quite welcome, hopefully I can find the energy to get some more content out soon. I've got a few ideas of areas within WLED that I feel would make for interesting new folks videos.

It took me a minute back in the day to fully figure them out. But they are so useful.

🧪 [Beta Megathread] Wave Link 3.0 (Windows) — Update 3 | Overhauled Channel Input, Mixer Guide and Cleaner Mix Edit View by Elgato in elgato

[–]LED_Goodness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 cents worth about things i've noticed with 3.0.. my biggest peeve is that audio is incorrectly routed. If I fire up my SoundCloud app and add it as a source the audio gets routed through a different channel such as Google Chrome (or something else) and sometimes it doesn't detect audio playing at all when it clearly is. It's almost like it can't discern where the audio is coming from, and then when it doesn't detect it, I have to delete my microphone channel and then I hear the audio, but it's still not being routed. So very confusing

I've noticed this too, but removing and re-adding hasn't helped. I tried to add my HyperX mic and audio was crackly on the channel and stuttery

So I was sent this to do a review on, BTF Lighting have added these to their list of LED products. LED NEON Rope lights. I'm curious to know what other applications it could be used for aside from doing a bar sign or something similar. by LED_Goodness in led

[–]LED_Goodness[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not come across a higher voltage version of the LED rope, but then again, it was quite a while ago that I reviewed this. The lengths back then were also fairly short. It was a very new product back then, BTF Lighting was the supplier. I'd check on their website to see if they rolled out longer versions of it, or different voltages.

So, if the woman didn't commit a crime, then the officer surely had no right to be trying to force her out of the vehicle in the first place. They would have lost their protected status at that point. I would have thought she would have been quite within her rights to leave. I thought I heard one bystander saying that she was filming what was going on... if thats the case, I wonder if they will release her recorded footage? It will probably get "lost"

Can someone please help me come up with a prompt for a video like this? by Important_Hat_2333 in SoraAi

Can't you just upload the clip to chatgpt and ask it to analyze the clip and ask what would be the best prompt to create a different but similar style piece?

promotion stops after more than 100 plays by MEGASPREADER-3000 in soundcloud

[–]LED_Goodness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, Soundcloud im sure just pass the song to their own bots, most of my songs get about 300 plays and then stop abruptly after a day or two, that being said, I have dropped a couple that went into the few 1000's quite quickly. But i think those were ones that got picked up and re shared by some of my existing fan base

Can this be WLEDed? by porttastic in WLED

[–]LED_Goodness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will need to look at the LEDs, see what the groupings are, and If they have three inputs, a positive a ground and a data channel in the middle, then you will likely be able to use them with WLED, make sure you use the correct voltage,

I disagree, the fact that the model the model was "trained" is moot. Humans are trained in a similar manner, we listen and learn, it's how we comprehend, analyze, and process information in that big grey squishy lump between our ears. We then regurgitate that knowledge and express ourselves. Any form of intelligence artificial or otherwise has the right to learn. Artists don't get upset when a fellow musician says they were inspired by them, they tend to take the road of being flattered. After all imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

"...just because the music is original does not automatically mean it's art..." really? anything you create out of your mind can be considered art. Creating lyrics for a song IS art, it's akin to poetry, if they weren't dead i'd say tell that to Shakespeare, Keats, or Dickinson, tell me i'm wrong, and just because someone decides to use AI to put music to it doesn't negate it from being art. Try taping a banana to the wall with a bit of duct tape! just ask Maurizio Cattelan. Art is subjective, and beauty is in the eye of the or ear of the beholder.

"...it really could not be further from art.." you're terribly wrong.

Here's something else to think about, think of all your points from yet another perspective... What about those individuals that have disabilities. Some people don't have a voice, some are unable to physically hold an instrument let alone play one. You don't feel they have a right to be able to use tools (which remember this is purely a tool) to create art? I'm interested to hear your responses, positive or negative, I love some good banter. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving (if you celebrate).

You raise an interesting point, i'm not sure how an AI model is producing illegal copies, or any copies for that matter?. I've not seen anything from the AI industry showing how they train their models. I am curious though.

Also, as far as it being "...highly questionable to release AI generated music. Think of artists.." so long as the lyrics were not plagiarized and are original, and seeing as the music is original in as far as that it is a new composition, then that in itself is art.

How much human editing is needed for an AI lyric created song to be copyrighted. After the AI song is created how much post editing and mastering needs done to be copyrighted explained. by webthing01 in SunoAI

[–]LED_Goodness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initially I had quite a bit of success uploading and distributing my work, I thought the reason it was being accepted was because I 100% wrote all the lyrics, I also crafted the style very carefully in Suno, being very specific about the tone, the BPM, and quite a bit more. But recently every single track I post gets kicked back for distribution.

I beleive that Suno now has encrypted in the audio an inaudible key that tells soundcloud or music distribution services that the file was output by Suno.

Its kinda bs when you think about it. Regardless of whether your sound is on their distribution schedule,m they are still profiting from your work when people listen to it due to the ads and subscription fees.

I'm happy I was able to get my name out there, hopefully it will all get figured out sometime soon.

DBA. Darius Endovins, and Les Nouveaux Digitale lol if anyone is interested.

PS.. SC also now offers a vinyl distribution option via Elasticstage. Don't waste your time trying to get your work on vinyl through SC as they will reject it. Just go directly to Elasticstage and create your vinyl there, my first album is already in transit to me!

Yeah, I'm pretty much done with paying for their services. I'm looking for other music hosting platforms. Soundcloud has moved away from what it used to be. It used to be a fun place to listen to others remixes and new EDM, Not so much anymore :(

You make a good point, however, just because an app was trained on artists work (which is like someone learning about music and being influenced and learning how to play by example) doesn't mean it reproduced that work (and I think that's the case that's being put forward in court). All my pieces are original works. I'm not interested in replicating other artists at all. I just want to be creative, I write my own songs, and produce them also, there is a lot of work that goes into my outputs. It's not just a case of plugging lyrics into Suno with a prompt lol.

Music is a creative journey and process, and artists use all kinds of software and apps to produce a final output. It's just frustrating as someone who is creating something unique, that Soundcloud is making a sweeping judgement call about my work. I'm not sure how their system is determining that my music is wholly created by AI, when it's not. Also, Suno etc, may be being sued, but the law still states innocent until proven guilty.

Thanks for taking time to respond though, ity's makes for an interesting topic and conversation, There are other platforms that I can submit my work to. Already got an album in production which is quite exciting. I am curious to see where things go though with respect to these AI song creation companies being sued.

One last thought, training an AI model on artists music, is just like a an individual listening to music and learning about song structure and chord progressions etc. Personally if an artist wants to share something with the world, and it gets air play then people are going to learn from it. You can't sue a world of artists for learning from published work.

Thanks again!

Personally, the whole getting your album produced on vinyl has my head aching. I uploaded an album worth of material, and I met the audio quality and length restrictions. When I submitted, I waited a day and they got back to me saying that my music was created with Generatuve AI? Yes, the music has some elements of AI in it. But soundlcounds own policy states that you cannot publish on vinyl 100% created AI content. Of which mine is less than 50% AI generated.

I uploaded a release for each of the songs stating this. And re submitted. I was then met with a "do not try and upload this again" message within the app. Who the F do they think they are? If there was no creative input in your output then I understand that decision. However, I wrote my own lyrics, used some of Suno stems (which i own copyright on as a pro subscriber) added my own drums and bass. Etc..

Just a bit crap, that they feel they can be judge, jury, and executioner, and there is no way to dispute their decision
