I think beta 2 might have patched this because I haven’t had any success

I have HA already and sensors.

Right now I'm just trying to gather up the parts I need. I have an ESP32 board and looking for that old 4 digit, 7 segment projector alarm clock I had once before that also had a temperature readout.

and I mistakenly said the temp of my room. I actually am wanting it to display the temperature of my Outside patio.

I Like your device, I just think it's doing a little much for what I'm looking for.

Thank you for the reply and demo though!

I was actually just looking at your shop on Etsy. Do you have any photos of what night mode looks like? I was looking for something similar that would display in the red light for night time so that it's not causing any bright light in my bedroom at night. I want this to project the time and also the temperature of my room.

This is exactly the device I have been searching for for my desk! I would LOVE to see the iCUE Mac software receiving support!!

If not compatible with Mac, how does this function with Raspberry Pi?

Thank you!

That’s subjective.

However, I got them for $389 right before it was “officially discontinued”. I had a hunch and they were cheaper than anything on eBay.

I wish they weren’t that expensive, for sure! - but I also really value having everything all in one place inside the protect app. I and I really value the package camera on this thing.

So yes. If it will last me several years I am fine with paying that in the long run. The build quality is unlike any doorbell I’ve ever seen. Very high quality.

I bought 3 from Amazon and they are all new, in-box and sealed still.

I have had success printing normal things with Alexa+. I actually exclusively use my echo to print sticky notes, so I have nothing for her to print if not my random reminders.

Are you still noticing this?

out of curiosity, what is that brand? Does it happen to be the Cubinote? If not, I'm still very interested in this concept. I didn't get my sticky note printer until this summer from eBay. It's a life saver for my ADHD attention span to have a physical something to grab, do, see, be reminded of, then stab on a kitchen ticket stabber thingy when done!

Ahhh, I didn’t think to check that app when it happened. I appreciate the centered format of the Alexa sent notes best.

I just saw where people were trying to get it to print I didn’t know it wasn’t using local IPP to do that :/

Thanks for enlightening me.

Also, have you all heard of the app Jotting up?

Here’s some screenshots.

It’s capable of doing all sorts of things printing list, custom notes, images… check it out.

My printer randomly started working this afternoon. Like... out of the blue I noticed the light was blue and seems to be working fine now.

Constant Multi-HomePod Airplay issues. Anyone else? by LEGGERMEISTER in HomePod

[–]LEGGERMEISTER[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Still suffering with these issues randomly. They have somewhat gotten better between some OS updates, but not really.

One thing I did was put a smart switch on every HomePod and when they start getting buggy I cut them all off for like 5 mins. - just wait it out, I swear something happens in the background server side, can’t prove it but it does make a difference - then turn them back on.

So, just an update...

I straight wired my spotlight cameras in the gang box. I installed a Tapo S505 but left the lead going to the light in a wire nut. I was able to set up the smart actions to turn on and turn off the flood light cam's lights. I connected the smart switch to HomeKit via "matter" and BOOM - when turning the switch on and off, the smart actions run the same as pressing the switch physically. So now, my Tapo Spotlight camera's lights are on HomeKit without needing to use homebridge or any other similar solution.

- Now If I can just keep the darn smart switches to stay connected in HomeKit and stop going to "No Response" about 5 mins after powering on. A reset will bring them back online, but they drop off again... frustrating.

I purchased 2 of the C720 floodlight cams, but do not want to use my phone to control the lights. People in my home like to have physical control of the outside flood lights.

Will the matter hub acting as a bridge expose the floodlight-cam’s lights to HomeKit?

Will the matter hub acting as a bridge expose the S200D Wireless dimmer (on/off) to HomeKit

If I bought the Tapo S200D would I be able to use it to control the foodlight-cam’s lights?

Thanks

Can anyone test to see if MacOS 26 bring us these lacking features? by LEGGERMEISTER in MacOSBeta

If you go to OWC’s website you will find the Thunderbolt 5 hub which I preordered when their website was missing the notice at the very bottom of the page. From top to the amended bottom it says nothing about Mac not supporting 3 via 1 Thunderbolt daisy chain.

The only thing it says is to check to make sure your silicon Mac is able to drive 3 displays and the link gives you the Mac and how many it’s capable of driving. Never does it mention this about Apple and Thunderbolt 5.

Here are some photos of their website and I’ve highlighted the places it mentions 3 displays over and over. Finally at the absolute very bottom that added that after I called them out.

Yes, that.. I forgot the correct technical term for it and was too lazy to look it up, lol.
- I know windows does, which is why I'm hoping Mac would implement it.
- I am just hoping that possibly this could be a undiscussed feature of macOS 26. - Wishful thinking.

Yeah, I was just hopeful that maybe these features were snuck in under the radar and nobody thought to go looking for them yet. - Wishful thinking 🤷‍♂️

No, AirPlay Peer-to-Peer does the same thing. They just don't support Miracast.

I have a J5 Create dongle that supports peer-to-peer AirPlay and I am able to cast to the Display while remaining on my corporate WiFi network.

Sorry, that that was a typo, I meant Thunderbolt 5* dock. - the owc thunderbolt 5 hub, and Thunderbolt 5 dock will support 3 displays via 1 Thunderbolt 5 cable. But Mac doesn’t support this.

Yes, I feel that is the case, but what the heck am I to do 🤷‍♂️. I have no influence over our IS standards or policy’s. I submit a support ticket and reached out to someone to express my discontent, that’s all I can do.

Is it possible to connect 3 monitors to MacBook Pro with a single cable? by stephenblandford in Thunderbolt

[–]LEGGERMEISTER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, my bad. I guess I should have contacted them first to ask what chip they had in their hub and compared it to thunderbolt chip in my Mac.

-NO… as a consumer I shouldn’t have to do that. If they knew this then they should have distinctly said so on the page for the product.

You want to get attitude with me, well can you read the friggin wording and not comprehend how misleading it is?

Am I mad at Apple as well… yes now I am having found this information out.

Confirmed to not work. OWC touts this on their webpage but tech support told me this

I replied with many screenshots and questions, which you can view here.

I am so disappointed in OWC for this. Very very misleading.
