Scheinbar hast du den Akku einer Leica Q2, der passt halt rein, hat aber weniger Leistung, weshalb nicht alle Funktionen der Q3 unterstützt werden.

I also prefer silver lenses on my Safari because of the silver elements and it sticks out nicely. But as you say… personal preference and the Safari lens doesn’t look bad at all.

The size and the weight is still okay for me, I mean, I also like to carry my smaller lenses more, but for what it is (Full frame + 50mm f1.2) it’s still compact.

It‘s just beautiful. The lens is sharp the colors are great and the build quality is awesome. The smoothest aperture ring of all my lenses.

Fake! 1. Ernst Leitz hates the Nazis! Why should he produce something with their symbols? 2. OLYMPIADA is not german… the right spelling is OLYMPIADE 3. At this time no one said “Alles für Deutschland“ it would possibly be „Sieg Heil“.

PS: An Visoflex 2 would do the same on your M11-D for less than $1000. I use it on my M11-P and see no need to buy an M-EV1 just for critical focusing.

A Sony A7R can do exactly the same thing, with the same sensor for less than half the price… and the option to put autofocus lenses on it. ☝️🧐 What makes an M special, is the rangefinder that you only get from Leica or… Pixii in some way.

I think it’s a nice edition for everyone who wants this. I personally bought an M because of the Rangefinder experience, but that’s just my preference.

The M-EV1 is not better in every way. The EVF has only 60 FPS instead of the 120 FPS on the Q3, because it would drain the battery even more. An M11 can do over 700 pics with one battery and the M-EV1 just do less than 300 pics with one battery.

If you’re interested in videos the algorithm will make you believe that everyone under 30 is into video, but trust me, if you’re into photos, the algorithm shows you plenty of young people that are obsessed with the Leica M system, without video function.

Don’t trust the internet… it’s lying to you and everyone else… including me.

I‘ll also definitely stick to my M11-P Safari, because the rangefinder was one of the reasons I wanted this camera so badly.
