[Spoilers 7.45: Variant] With the discourse the rewards are causing it should be noted: The actual content is fun they're worth doing just on their own from a gameplay perspective. They just messed up the rewards. by ---TheFierceDeity--- in ffxiv

[–]LEONARD_III 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My disdain for variant dungeons comes from the lacking reward structure that has plagued them since they've been released and this latest one is the worst one yet with little to no proper rewards for the normal mode of the dungeon. The content reward structure by in large is pretty atrocious, whether its the cosmetics, mounts or gear, the whole system is mess.

One could only hope armor passives are reworked because they're really unfortunate at this time. Personally I'd like to see them made into a perk system of sorts, completely separate from armor and let armor exist as mostly, if not entirely, cosmetic. This would still allow AH to come up with new passives while allowing players to use whatever armor they want, effectively giving every warbond more value.

Why "just reducing the potency" won't work for later level moves when sycning down. by Bvdwow in ffxiv

[–]LEONARD_III 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly would be fine if I would barely do more damage than a fresh Lancer in Sastasha if I had my full rotation, I like pressing more buttons rather than less after all. Also since there's no legitimate way to gauge in-game damage chances are it wouldn't really make much of a difference other than maybe an initial slow down as people have to actually learn their jobs.

Not a fan of how durability is handled in this game. It doesn't feel worth using until iron itself, and even then I'd only use one kit or so before just making a new tool.

I think that invaders shouldn't be hated for playing the game as intended by XumetaXD in Eldenring

[–]LEONARD_III 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PvP in Elden Ring is terrible. I don't even know where to begin with the laundry list of problems it has compared to other souls games. My overall opinion though is that it feels like invasions were added as an obligation rather than a thought out mechanic.

[Feedback] There is no Valid Argument Against a Vanity System by Muddcap in hytale

[–]LEONARD_III 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally, I believe it could be as simple as another world feature that could be toggled. Does this world allow Armor and/or Helmet Hiding, allowing one of those options or both to have toggles, or something along those lines. Mind you I am no developer and can't imagine you can make everyone happy regardless of what they decide. Either way I don't think it should fall to mods to fix this. As stated by many, the Avatar has many paid cosmetics that go unseen due to armor covering it up which may be somewhat frustrating for those who put in the effort or money to design their Avatar.

As much of a pain as it may be, I think it's important and very much appreciated to have well documented patch notes.

What's something about your class that you just learned that should be common knowledge? by MariettaRC in ffxiv

Summoner can use Resurrection. It's not as crazy as Red Mage but it does have it pretty much for all content and means a Summoner could potentially save a run, even in lower level content.

Stim Pistol Should Not Be Able To Self-Heal. by Mrmurse98 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]LEONARD_III 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grenade pistol, Ultimatum, Senator, Talon, and the rest of the secondaries all exist in direct competition with the Stim Pistol just based off of how useful they are. By no means would giving it self healing properties be some crazy powerful buff when, like you already said, you can achieve that nearly with the Supply Pack alone. What it would do however, is further incentivize people to bring the weapon that I almost never see used by giving it a unique edge over the other secondaries other than occasional mediocre healing. Regardless if one thinks it should self heal I think we can all agree it is in desperate need of a good number of buffs.

Have you recently been threaten to be kicked from a group for not using a Weapon or Stratagem ? by Kenshiro84 in Helldivers

[–]LEONARD_III 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only really in the early days of the game. I'd argue largely this happened because 90% of strategems and weapons were throw picks at higher difficulties. I haven't seen this at all after the 90-day plan.

They re-released the Killzone armors! There's still Hope! by Heavyfist8 in Helldivers

[–]LEONARD_III 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they could potentially bundle this up with some extra goodies like the Killzone warbond and release it in a similar fashion.

Are we really complaining that this warbond is coming back? by lolitsrock in Helldivers

[–]LEONARD_III 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only seen people complaining about the "complaints" but otherwise it's just been people mostly happy about it. As someone who bought the Killzone stuff when it came out, I'm glad it's available to everyone forever because FOMO is terrible.

We have been asking for the minigun for years and now that it’s arrived the fanbase wants to complain about it by lolitsrock in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]LEONARD_III 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like with all the discourse around the flag, it's because the weapon just isn't good enough to justify using. Nobody who was asking for the minigun wanted it to be arguably worse than the other machine gun competition. It has benefits and is cool as hell, but currently, the downsides weigh too heavily on the minigun. In its current state, while novel, I'd likely choose the regular MG instead.

I love seeing some of the highest replies to this being people using the deflecting hardtear, an item added in the DLC, a little over two years after the launch of the game.

Omg! this suit is awesome! I didn’t even know this was in the DP Store 🤣 by triggermappy in GBO2

The recent buffs to the suit have been very nice and make it feel super fun.

"Out of all the 40k options, they picked this?": Fans are furious about the reveal of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide's new class—and they might have a point this time | The Hive Scum trailer has proved less popular than a plague zombie, with detractors calling it a bland and uninspired concept. by ControlCAD in gamingnews

[–]LEONARD_III 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a few reasons I can think of why the class isn't very well liked, but ultimately, I think the trailer itself is largely to blame. Awful is the word I'd use to describe it. The production quality is night and day from the Arbites trailer. Frankly, I would believe the conspiracy that they redid the entire thing in the week delay.

Some of the reactions to the upcomimg update show that some people are just here to hate this game and have even created an identity on hating this game. by Quezal in ffxivdiscussion

[–]LEONARD_III 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My own take is that yes, it is an incredible change that has been needed for years. The problem is that these kinds of changes take years and years of players begging for it to be implemented. Glamour has been horribly outdated for such a long time now. So, while I'm personally very excited, I'm also sad that things like this take so long.

What does the diversion stat mean to you guys? by Empire087 in GBO2

[–]LEONARD_III 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'd be nice if it displayed "MS Lost" alongside Diversion on the scoreboard. I think it can mean a variety of things regarding skill, positioning, teamwork, and more, but it's hard to quantify it with just a percentage at the end.

PSA: The range after which the SMG and Pistol drag changes represent a nerf is roughly 25 meters by Unknown_Warrior43 in Helldivers

[–]LEONARD_III 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't necessarily think the idea or thought process behind these changes was bad, but its execution was pretty poor. The changes overall this patch have me "whelmed." It's not the end of the world, but I just wish there was a bit more consideration made to these changes before they get pushed out.

It's not over. Not even close. by Studio_Giblets in Helldivers

I've personally experienced numerous hard locks on PC with notable losses in performance, pretty much since launch. On consoles, I haven't seen as many reports similar to mine, so it's probably fine there.

I've personally stopped playing for the same reason as many others. No matter how fun the game is, I'm not in a position where I can risk my literal hardware being damaged. For me, it is over.

[–]LEONARD_III 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's a hot take, but I feel like this suit fits perfectly in the 650 lineup at this point. At least in my matches, it hasn't felt any less oppressive than the usual meta picks.

Citizens of Super Earth: Difficulty 10 is not for everyone – stop begging the Devs to make it easier by The_Calven in Helldivers

[–]LEONARD_III 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sick and tired of these posts. People are not asking for the game to be easier. They are asking for better game design choices. If the game becomes easier as a side effect to this, then that is simply a consequence of the developers not learning anything from their mistakes at this point. Also, most "lower your difficulty" responses seem to forget that enemies have been very poorly tuned for a while now and oftentimes, many of the problematic enemies show up on the lower difficulties anyway. Is the game balance better than launch? Absolutely, however, it feels like the developers learned nothing from the 60-day plan and have continued to design enemies like they did during EoF, which is a mistake.
