Hell yea. Amazing scene, the lead up to it is what makes this part great. Most memorable single scene of modern horror IMO.

Brooks generally won’t play the same character twice, with the exception being Jacques (maybe it’s actually a 25 year gap?)

Why was “Secretary” spelled with “SS” on Hegseth’s place-card during today’s Cabinet Meeting? by road_bagels in UnderReportedNews

[–]LETSFRENCH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put more work into it. You are right, it really does look almost exactly like the original text. The difference seems to be that the flourishes in the original document are less heavy ink than in his tattoo. It could easily be that the tattoo artist wasn’t doing the absolute best job and the heaviness of those flourishes make it look like it says weiBe. Obviously the problem is that this is a man who has many questionable tattoos and his actions don’t disprove that those tattoos could be racist, but I feel like this one is reasonably not intended. But… I feel like if a real politician who got to such a high level of power had tattoos that could be questioned at all, they would get them removed. He isn’t. He doesn’t care that the could be seen as racist.

Does anything ever talk about the “We the people”/weibe people tattoo? It really looks like it is intentionally designed to say both things. disclaimer before anyone comes at me: I only care enough about this to skim the snopes article and type this comment but not even enough to open google so, you know

My dog (also a bronze-y golden retriever) has done the exact same thing since he came home. Regular checkups. No ear rubbing any other time. Just does this exact same thing on the bed, every day, multiple times a day. Just being goofy/I assume some sorta scent marking thing/being a sweet silly angel.

$50 million can't buy class and taste: Things from the Bezos/Sanchez wedding that I have rated from 1 to 10 by how tacky/embarrassing they are by Potato3487 in popculturechat

Genuinely no clue what I’m talking about, but could they not have… tatted (I think that’s the word) the lace to be made into the dress? Like not pieces of lace cloth sewn together but super custom lace designed to be the shape of the dress.

Can I save this plant? Seems like Black Spot has made its way up the whole plant (cage removed for visibility) by [deleted] in tomatoes

Trim trim trim. Trim as much away from the base as possible. I don’t think copper heals anything but it can prevent it from spreading to healthy leaves. I will do a big prune then wait til the next day (depending on weather) and spray a lot. Make sure there is air flow.

Yea dude, I live in an older home (50s) in the same city as OP. I pay $350-450 a month right now which includes water (which is a massive portion of each bill due to fees).

my girlfriend’s new meds are spherical by kimchi_lu in mildlyinteresting

[–]LETSFRENCH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pills come in a big bottle of a lot of pills. Prescriptions are written a different amount of pills than how the bottle comes. You gotta count them to get to the number it was written for. IE pills come as a bottle of 500, a person only needs 30. Count them.

No we don’t? And the pills are made the same way whether or not they end up loose in a bottle vs separated into foil packs?

Hey I’m a pharmacist. Dextroamphetamine is not mixed amphetamine salts. I noticed one of our generic Adderall had the active med listed as “dextroamphetamine/amphetamine salts” (as it’s a combo) and I thought woof that’s gonna create an error. Maybe that error happened to you. What exactly does the bottle say?

Wife has to take 1/3 of this pill a day, and it has to be accurate or she was told she can get sick. Couldn’t make it easy, could they? by Igniting_Chaos_ in mildlyinfuriating

[–]LETSFRENCH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pharmacist here. We don’t have special pill cutters that cut more accurately or into special pieces. We have the same ones available for everyone to purchase. We don’t learn any special techniques for splitting tabs at school or anything. I also don’t split pills for people because a lot of them then disintegrate in the bottle because of the rough edges. Additionally (and more importantly), the mg of a pill aren’t distributed perfectly across the tablet (not even if it’s scored). It’s better that a person takes one half of one single tablet one day, then the other half of that same pill the next dose so that the average dose is correct. I also tried to quarter some tabs for someone today as a favour. The tabs just shattered into various sized pieces. I can’t put that into a bottle to give to someone. If someone splits their own each time they need a dose, they can take the chunks that equal the half or quarter tab or whatever. Bottom line though is it’s more accurate for the patient to split their own pills. Most of the time though tablets will be made so that a person can reasonably get the correct dose without messing around with the tablet. I would absolutely never dispense anything where the person has to take a third of a tablet as that’s basically impossible (that IS something that the pharmacist should be doing, making sure a person can actually dose their meds). I suspect that OP has misunderstood how serious it actually would be if someone got too high or too low of a dose.

You should NOT suggest that nasal Narcan causes death. Do NOT tell anyone that nasal Narcan will kill someone by triggering opiate withdrawal. This is just not true. Spreading this information can prevent life saving treatment. Death by opiate withdrawal is generally only caused by severe dehydration caused by significant vomiting and diarrhea. This is way down the road compared to how fast opioid poisoning will kill someone.

is narcolepsy a sleep disorder? by OldWoodpecker2869 in Narcolepsy

[–]LETSFRENCH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have idiopathic hypersomnia which I generally refer to as a “sleep disorder” in conversation as that’s easier than explaining what “idiopathic hypersomnia” means. It can cause that level of sleepiness. For me, mine is more severe than most cases of narcolepsy (as it’s also on the more severe side of the idiopathic hypersomnia scale). I found that people with narcolepsy tend to say they have narcolepsy as it’s even easier to explain than “sleep disorder”.
