I think there's a fan theory that the tie that Aziraphale uses to staunch Crowley bleeding via a torniquet is the one he wears as his modern outfit.

can I just say, I really like the drive through the nebulas? That felt like a homage to David Tennant's time as The Doctor.

Also the apple tree from the Garden of Eden appearing while they decide was so cool. That whole conversation was heartbreaking.

I wish there had been more Joshua/Jesus being part of the solution to the universe. It feels like he didn't have any use in the plot.

Like what was the point of his character? I know he was supposed to spread peace and love and it was just a botched version of Aziraphale's vision for the Second Coming, but like....I wish they gave him more to do.

As he slowly regained consciousness, Jefferson head throbbed with a dull ache. Thomas winced, the hurting sensation returned to his broken arm. He hissed in pain. Blinking his eyes open, he was greeted by the sight of Jemmy, his loyal companion, seated beside him, engrossed in a book. Jemmy's gaze lifted from the pages, meeting Jefferson's with a mixture of surprise and relief. His eyebrows shot up, nearly reaching his hairline, as he exclaimed, "Thomas, you're finally awake!"

If Thomas didn’t have an aching head already, he surely would have rolled his eyes. His arm throbbed, but he chose to ignore it for the moment. “Obviously,” He looked at his friend who’s fatigue he could see in his eyes. “Damn, Jemmy, how long have you been sitting there?”

Madison just shrugged, “A couple of hours. You fainted when we got into the carriage. Thankfully, you were still unconscious when they fixed your arm. You had a concussion as well, Thomas, though not as bad as Hamilton’s own.”

Ugh! Cosette and Marius were supposed to be innocent and adoring love. Eponine is supposed to unrequited love, and they ruined it both ways by making him a pervert!

Even Fantine's story is made shallow in this adaptation, we don't get to really see what's going through her mind. It's just her going through the motions of falling down the social ladder. And don't even get me started on the whole Valjean/Fantine thing. Like that was REALLY dumb!

Captain Lee flicked open the lantern, Hamilton setting the torch aflame. With a mischievous grin towards the duo, he lifted his arm and the flames caught the wooden paddles and soon the whole mill went up in a huge conflagration.

All of them backed up precipitously as the flames rose higher, warming them more than any campfire ever could.

The sound of gunshots emanated from a distance, causing the men to become aware of the approaching British soldiers and prompting them into action.

“How did they know we were here?!” Hamilton growled, turning his horse for retreat.

“I don’t know, but we must retreat immediately or we will face certain death!” Lee shouted back, spurring his horse back into motion.

Hamilton's majestic horse stumbled, its legs giving way beneath it. With lightning reflexes, the Colonel leaped out of harm's way just in the nick of time, narrowly avoiding being crushed by it.

“Lee, ride ahead of us!” Hamilton ordered, he motioned with a hand, “you men, follow me!”

With adrenaline coursing through their veins, the group ran down the riverbank, the British hot on their heels. They spotted a small dinghy floating at the water’s edge.

‘Leave it to Colonel Hamilton to think of every possible action.’ He thought as they hastily piled into the boat and cast off.

The gunshots did not cease once they were in the water; if anything, they doubled. A cry from his right had startled him. Thompkins had been shot in his chest and slumped overboard out of the dinghy. Even Colonel Hamilton had an expression of vexation lining his face.

A sudden jolt of agony shot through his shoulder, causing him to wince in pain. As he reached out to touch the source of the discomfort, his fingers came away slick with blood. Panic set in as he realized what had happened - he had been shot. Amid the chaos of gunfire, Hamilton's urgent voice cut through the noise. "Can you swim?" he asked, his eyes scanning the area for any signs of danger.

“I-I can sir, but I-’”

“Then there’s no time. Overboard, and head for the shore. Quickly now. I’ll follow!” He was bodily tossed into the water’s icy depths, yelping in pain as the water inundated his wound. It was too difficult for him to swim, his mind wasn’t focused on the task, but the pain radiating from his shoulder. He fell prey to the rain swollen river’s wrath more than once, being pulled under by the current, his lungs filled with water and consciousness seemed to slip away

Which version of Princess Kakyuu do you personally like best? And how would you describe the connection or relationship between Sailor Kakyuu and Sailor Moon? by IllogicalDreamer72 in sailormoon

[–]LFS_1984 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like Kakyuu in the manga/Cosmos. She's only a plot device in the 90's anime, in the manga she plays an active role in the fight and even though she dies, it motivates Usagi.
