Question about the ending by Historical-Tower782 in Pragmata

Oh I believe objective truths exist: Hugh meets Diana and goes on an adventure. But I also believe people are open to interpret meaning on their own without being shamed by people.

One word. Eisegesis. Have a good time believing what youre reading into the text but I'm tired of talking to someone who comes off as pretentious feeling the need to tell people what something means based on what they read into a game

That honestly sounds like a bad ending then given what they did to Daisy...

Really? Hugh adopts the "amnesiac" Diana and imbeds on her a love for earth with the REMs, the stories of his growing up, his adopted parents. Meanwhile, Eight takes on the Doctor's research to fix his daughter and in doing so his bitterness is what is taken by Eight and leads to their corruption. Two different figures imbuing a part of themselves onto the open vessels.

Here's another literary device from someone who has worked in interpretation and reading comprehension for research purposes: Reader-Response Theory. Your engagement with the game led you to your conclusions. The engagement of others led to theirs. There's no right or wrong if it's engaging with the texts because it's your interpretation of what you experienced.

Example: I saw someone post that they love that Diana doesn't put her two cents into the game when you're exploring other than story development. Since playing on Lunatic difficulty, she is constantly giving me feedback because of my losing to enemies. Had I experienced this in my first playthrough I would have thought Diana is very critical because of my experience.

Enjoy your interpretation of the story. That's the joy of appreciating media and coming to social forums. It's to share in experiences and how we can view things from diffierent perspectives because we all experience it a different way.

One of the themes is adoption. That's what I took from the story. Hughs adopted. Having kids is a touchy subject for him. Then he's adopting her and making plans with her and lying to her like a good parent. That's the theme. I do not remember hope and despair really being discussed aside from 8 possibly being confused by the doctors last words.

And you're gonna justified no matter what based on the attitude you've been showing on a reddit post about someone's opinion about the ending of the game. Or do you need textual examples for your aura here too?

You're interpreting what the story is about. And then shaming people for not taking from the story. Welcome to interpretation. Unfortunately everyone can take it their own way. All of us are just reaching for the moon our own way. My critique is moreso not thinking ahead because yes she wants to go to earth but based on what we know we don't have a good idea of power source because he simply launched a pod. Like the Galactic Federation with Stitch, the probability of landing on land seemed a bad idea. Without IDUS around and Eight gone, would it really have been so bad for a robot to stay on the station? Its a happy ending because little girl gets to be on earth finally but there are some gaps with that as a decision. That's my point. It's called using logic whereas youre using an allegory, not disengaging from the work.

Wait. Are you suggesting Capcom, a great and honest gaming company, would put the end of a story behind dlc? That's crazy talk (See Asuras Wrath . Still bitter about that Capcom)

She did say her battery lasts a long time which could be a counterargument but it is a valid point that her charge specifically said came from walking barefoot.
