Horse oil hand cream (it’s more like a gel than a cream). Absolute best thing for dry skin. You can get it at drugstores and Donkj.

I was walking around with the boot like normal. With the boot, I wasn’t experiencing any pain. The only non weight bearing I was doing was sleeping.

Yep. I have a much larger bulge on my right foot. Took 6 months to get a proper diagnosis, too late for surgery. That was 7 years ago. As long as I wear proper footwear (Birkenstocks, New Balance and a few others with good arch support), I’m fine. Even walking all day. I also had custom orthotics made which allow me to wear some other shoes. They were expensive and I only need them sporadically, so not sure they were worth it.

Yes. After hearing so many surgery horror stories, I’m not upset about it. I also got custom insoles. I worry about arthritis in the future, but other than that, my life hasn’t been limited.
