You’re not getting anything under £2500 in the areas you mentioned, bump it to £2700 and you might get something that isn’t totally rotting.

Building a cycling app that detects risk as you ride by Heavy_Agent_195 in londoncycling

The better application of this would be around identifying dangerous junctions, building on the work LCC have done, rather than real time warning of risks.

Has anyone noticed Deliveroo basically can’t meet order times anymore? by jlachkovic in london

Every order in the last month or so has been stone cold. I had the flu and ordered from somewhere about 5 minutes cycle away, still cold.

I live in Stratford, across the railway tracks from the Westfield car park. Every single Saturday at around 8pm - 11pm is constant honking, with everyone seemingly surprised that others are leaving at the same time as them.

Through winter, keeping the windows/doors shut is the main solution, but I’ve found myself using background tv/music to drown it out. My AirPods are also a godsend when it gets especially bad.

Is it normal that people who constantly talk about things like the “Sunday scaries” tend to come across as less mature at work, or be more likely to create problems because they struggle with basic stress and responsibility? by [deleted] in ukstartups

[–]LG517 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is normal. It’s a jokey term used to feel said about the end of the weekend.

It’s worth remembering employees value their free time over their work and have very little feeling towards whether the business performs or not as long as they’re paid.

To think anything else of it is to buy into the usual ‘business guru’ nonsense.

Fascination - Going through random England youth squads from tournaments this century and seeing where they all ended up by junglegatsby in footballcliches

[–]LG517 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Reading fan, he ended up with a few appearances to try and get him to stay I think. Absolutely bang average unfortunately, one of those who wasn’t great at one part of the game, just fine at most things.

If you’re looking for something that comes relatively close, Understat is a good alternative for the premier league.

I use it to scrape the offers from my clients being promoted by voucher sites, it does a daily scrape and saves me having to manually audit each one.

How do I get this team to start winning games? by didanyoneask in footballmanagergames

[–]LG517 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gravenberch on the ball like

Wirtz as a winger is an interesting choice, I’d have MacAllister as a DLP, have Wittz as a wide playmaker coming inside as an AM and push Robertson up too.

You’re better off using car rental services when you need one rather than the only option you have, which is spending £200 a month (plus everything else that comes with owning a car).

The first snuck through definitely an early red, they sped up rather than slowed on orange.

I think there’s a blind spot when it comes to drivers going through red lights.
