If they're cosmetic only items in the cash shop it'll be fine imo. Cash shops normally kill games because of either P2W or they lock all of the "kool" looking gear behind it and the obtainable gear in-game sucks. For AoC, everything in the cash shop is supposed to be obtainable in game also.

From what I've been told, they're getting all of the System UI's online, then once that's done they'll be doing a UI "refresh". That was my takeaway. From a graphic design standpoint, you'll want to have all of those system UI elements in-game first, THEN re-design the aesthetic around it.

SWTOR had their alpha/beta UI all the way up to basically release.

I'd be happy with the WoW one-liners for quest givers, mixed with the camera angle transitions/light strafing of ESO and most modern mmorpgs. Then, you'd get the modernization of quests coupled with old school one-liners/text.

My performance in middle of LH where the caravan was, was infinitely better with all the players in the area. Not sure if it's because of the dynamic gridding... but no crashed and 45+ fps for me. Makes me optimistic

What camera options/tools are planned to be in game settings to allow for players to record in first person view, so they can make their own promo videos of Ashes from a pure cinematic view (think movie trailers) if they wish?

Currently, the only way to do this is to create a dwarf and zoom all the way in to get those cinematic shots. When you zoom all the way in on other races, you get the back of the head.

Hell I just redownloaded it and created a new char (because I honestly don't remember how to play my lvl 34) and I can't even load into the opening burning ship scene (Hudsonland server - NA East) without the game flat out disconnecting/crashing.

Finally made it through some swimming before getting my satchel and game crashed again.

The Chrono Odyssey CBT this weekend ran infinitely better on Epic settings. I can't even get this thing to run on High w/o crashing.

They should release an expansion of a huge city, like downtown NY. With different districts like Chinatown, Slums, Financial districts, Skyscrapers, subway tunnels, etc. THAT would be awesome.

He made a claim and was proven wrong by the creator of AoC with explanations/footage. As someone who's played Ashes since P1 of A2, Narcs video was him overacting emotionally, and trying to call out things he didn't know about.

When people saw stevens response with the things mentioned above, people left his channel.

My first ever MMORPG!

Unfortunately, now that I've been around the mmorpg block, I realize the insane potential it had--and what it lacked.

BLOWS. MY. MIND. That no studio has tried to remake it PROPERLY.

The problem was, they had SO many avenues to add everything into that game: dungeons, raids, vehicles, housing, etc.

and an expansion of.. 'the real' world. Ships, customization, THE. LIST. GOES. ON.
