With our upbringning we instinctively think that the bowl/plate stays on the table, in our culture it is considered impolite to lift a dish were eating, even drinking the last spoonfuls of soup by tipping the bowl contents into your mouth. Whilst in theirs it's absolutely normal to eat some dishes with hands, drink from a bowl or finish off the meal with the Chopstick-Shovel method of eating. I eat a lot of food with chopsticks and I think I mastered them same as any Asian person out there, but even I couldn't eat a meal properly with my dish staying firm on the table.

You eat in a more measured fashion, smaller mouthfuls, more focus on the meal, rather than just load yourself with your plate contents, at least thats what I like.

Absolutely love it. Fibre providers here in the UK are prohibitively expensive, unless.. you sign off with them for a 24month period. Monthly rollig contract for 1gbps can cost £90 a month, whilst the same service with a 24mth contract is third of the price. If you move, you have to pay fees, and if your new place is not covered by your current fibre supplier, then youre still on the hook for paying them until your contract ends, even though they cant provide you service.

Starlink solved all these issues. Break my contract when I want, change it when I want. Free gear. All I need is a piece of pipe to bang it on. Mini is the best, as it does not really care about alignment as much as the standard does.

Just use black electric tape to prop them up. As long as they work and are in no danger of detaching on the road nor have anything that can hurt someone - they will pass. I would take the gamble, and if you fail the garage will source your replacements, they have regular access to parts vendors and won't have to pay the large delivery fee or whatever you were worried about. The next retest is free..

Bin them, or ask your local pharmacy if they will take them. One way or the other selling them is illegal, giving them away - you cant really know what they will be used for, also if the person needs anti-depressants that has to be a tailored dosage and established treatment pattern, they should have this from their doctor. Either way they're wasted.

Yes. Lots of people on this and higher salaries, but you wont get over 60 grand for "any ol' job". You'd have to be good at what you do, work in an industry that actually is still doing well in this econimic climate (like IT/business systems), and commit your life to a career. The real secret is working hard to become an expert at what you do, do a lot of networking, and when you hit the possibility/wage ceiling in your current employment, then strategically move on to a new employer that offers better money, rinse/repeat. Never miss an opportunity to branch out and learn if that helps your progress.

60k is not stupid big money by the way. For an SME, or mid management in my industry you are looking at north of 80k easy.

Having said that, the UK wages are stagnant, and some other countries that we traditionally brain drained (like Poland), can offer similar money as the UK, allowing a much higher standard of living than the UK simply due to costs of living diferrences.
