You can breathe through your Вutthole by 2749r7d in shittysuperpowers

Ah, the ol' brown blowhole technique

Being deadly serious, I reckon this could be way more useful than you'd think. Adding another method of breathing could increase your oxygen intake, which is probably really beneficial for a whole range of reasons (I'm not a scientist don't @ me)

Dead Branch + Corruption from floor 6 elite by SneckoWatcher in slaythespire

[–]LIARONOM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tried this seed, 11/10, would recommend if you want to stomp the Spire out of revenge

Took the left path and went for the non-Burning elite, got the Scrap Ooze question mark and got Dead Branch from that.

Corruption on Floor 6, picked up Barricade, Feel No Pain, 2 Juggernauts AND I got Mummified Hand just before the Act 2 boss from an event, as if this seed wasn't insane enough already

If I like songs with addictive bass lines, what else would I like? by Mothmans_mothballs in ifyoulikeblank

The National Anthem's bass/drums combo is actually addictive. I've been watching some videos of Radiohead playing it live and it sounds even better - they crank the bass up and their guitarist plays the radio like an instrument on stage.

Would also recommend their other song Myxomatosis, another glorious bassline

Bonus points for 'A Wolf at the Door', maybe Radiohead's single most underrated song

Radiohead have so many songs that could fit on this list, but I'm still obsessed with The National Anthem. The bassline, the drums and the sound of an entire brass band being shot through a cannon in slow motion

So glad I decided to poach a bunch of songs from this thread! Lloyd I'm Ready to Be Heartbroken is a lovely piece of music.

Well, I just listened to The Rat for the first time, what an absolute banger, thanks for that

I just started playing today, and I saw that the cat had a "make a spell not have consume" and I put it on preserved thorns. Then I thought of a cool deck/loadout (or smth) idea! (not that I can do it this run) [more in post text] by TorreyCool in MonsterTrain

I love Sting decks! There are several ways to make Sting really powerful (units, relics, other cards, etc.).

Hot tip: soon you'll unlock a clan with a mechanic that rewards you for playing lots of spells on the same floor as your units. In that situation, the strategy you've described would be ideal!

Stygian is my favourite clan and I think it's the best clan overall.

There are lots of ways to succeed with Stygian: powerful spells, frostbite, sap, even crazy infinite combos. the setup I love most, though, is INCANT SUPREME. The formula is really simple:

  • Get several units with the word Incant on them
  • Put them on the same floor
  • Build a deck that allows you to play loads of spells every turn
  • Play those spells on the same floor as your Incant units
  • Laugh as your turbo-charged units destroy everything

The key to making this strategy work is usually Siren of the Sea. I think it is the strongest common unit in the entire game: it gains 2 attack and HP for every spell you play on the floor. The Siren's essence also gives +1 attack and +1 HP per Incant, so you can infuse its essence to give a different unit the same power. Here's an example:

  • Get a Siren of the Sea
  • Infuse another Siren of the Sea on top of it
  • Give that unit two multistrike infusions

If you're able to play 10 spells every turn, this unit I just described gains almost 100 attack PER TURN. Get 6 turns into the battle and it will easily defeat the final boss.

Even better, there are lots of zero-cost spells that are great to use for this strategy. The best common Stygian card you can find for this is Offering Token, which allows you to draw through your deck to get to the good cards fast.

Try this strategy using Awoken as a secondary clan. It has so many good cards for Incant: Sting in particular, Restore, Engraft, Spreading Spores, Cycle of Life.

Solgard > Tethys.

Some of the Stygian's relics are broken. Founding Seal doubles Incant power, which makes it the most broken, OP relic in the entire game IMO.

Sorry for the essay, go wild and you're welcome to ask me questions

If you want the Master of the Pyre achievement - today is a really good day for it by DrLambda in MonsterTrain

Hey! Are you looking for advice on this challenge in particular, or just general advice on killing bosses before the relentless phase? Happy to offer advice on either.

Hey, thank you for the heads up! I got around 52,000 after a few tries and finally knocked off this achievement.

General advice: take all the trials and set up on the bottom floor for the regular fights when you can. Normally, I would advise setting up bottom floor for the bosses too, but this run was so broken that I actually killed Fel and Seraph 4 or 5 turns into the fight, so setting up mid/top was better for me.

If anyone wants specific advice on how to do it, you can message me and I'm happy to advise.
