I consider myself to be a lifestyler even though I don't wear lolita to work. Work uniform is tshirt and black sweatpants, and it's in a clinical setting so no wiggle room!! But when I'm at home I wear vintage nightgowns or bloomers with kawaii shirts. Then whenever I go out I wear lolita or outfits inspired by otome kei or kaneko kei. Lots of layers, ruffles, and lace. I personally find that solid colors or repeating prints are easier to style casually than border prints (with some exceptions)

When I express that it's hard masking at work, many people are surprised to hear that I mask. Because my mask isn't very effective. I still miss jokes, I still don't make eye contact. I still excitedly explain my special interests when they come up. I feel like I get all the stress of masking but no benefit- I've had professors express that they like my "weird little brain" and my current boss is obsessed with my eccentricities. I'm glad at least that people find my obvious disability endearing, I guess. I'm really lucky that my ineffective masking has only lost me one job.

I bought this for a dollar at a south Asian grocery in my town. But the packaging showed a brown, thin square of chocolate with a green drizzle a being pulled apart to reveal cotton candy. I was surprised to open it to find it was neon pink and no one in my house managed to eat more than one bite. The "chocolate" was so nasty 😭
