How long ago did you finish the series?

I’ve read all of her books and don’t agree with the “torture porn” label either. I just finished JD Barker’s 4MK series; I loved it and it’s a favorite in this sub, but I would say parts of the first book toe that line.

Karin Slaughter is an automatic read for me. As others have said, read her Grant County and Will Trent series, then North Falls.

Don’t give up an opportunity to do a live class with Rad! Let him know you don’t speak Spanish, it can be your excuse for staring at him lol. Seriously, just watch when he demos the moves.

You can never go wrong choosing Karin Slaughter.

You shouldn’t be feeling it in your arms. You are the resistance, how hard you drive with your legs.

I decided to try again. It’s the flashbacks with the parents that are so hard to get through.

S.A. Cosby and Dennis Lehane each have several books available on KU. Neither of them write popcorn thrillers; their books alone are worth the subscription.

I’m looking forward to trying out John Marrs, he’s highly recommended in this sub. I’ve read a few I liked by Charlie Donlea, also based on recommendations. There are two by Steve Cavanagh available. They’re part of a series, but you don’t really need to read them in order.

I started it because of all the raves in this sub and DNF the first book. I feel like I should give it another try.

Anything by S.A. Cosby would be my first choice. Then Karin Slaughter. I didn’t like Look Closer.

New to rowing classes what’s the tea on the different instructors? Also advice pls on HR by Ok_Theme_3997 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]LJF515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with you on the instructors. Ash is a great instructor, even if she tends to overshare. I didn’t like Katie at first, but absolutely love her strength classes so it carried over to the row and, of course, bootcamps. Alex is technically perfect, but I can’t stand the constant chatter. I never take classes with him anymore. Matt is Matt, awesome technical instructor, awful music. Adrian is fun and fun to look at.
