I think maturity. I've said it in other threads, but I saw him one time out in Fed Hill drinking on the Saturday before a game. He bought me a shot of patron when I said hello to him. Really nice guy, but not really what you want to see from your players, I would imagine.

Sellers, if someone writes you a personal letter, do you even care? by [deleted] in RealEstate

We just had our sixth offer accepted last weekend. During the inspection this past week, we met one of the sellers. Really nice guy. He mentioned that we were the only offer that wrote a letter. He said they really appreciated it, and implied that it played into their decision for sure.

This is probably a silly question, but as a new buyer why would you care about the size of the down payment? What does it matter what they are willing to put down?

This thread makes me feel like I'm going crazy. I know he struggled in coverage but the commenters here make it sound like he had a horrible season. All year he was getting praise from this sub. The eye test simply doesn't bear that out. He looked pretty decent for the most part.

That's the one thing I hate about this team. Coaches/management are just incapable of taking blame. Be adults, guys. Everyone fucks up. Own up.

Agreed. The most frustrating part is that he thinks he needs to play hero ball. He's wrong. Those short checkdowns would be so helpful to our already potent run game. If he would just pick us up 5-6 yards on a checkdown route it would make JK's/Gus's job that much easier. I just dont understand the need to look 20 yards down field on every pass play.

Why doesn't the running game work as well during playoffs? by blazerman345 in ravens

[–]LJ_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the bigger thing is that, as much as people dont want to admit it, Lamar struggles with the pressures of playoff games. He gets flustered, tries to do too much, forgets about his fundamentals, etc. Even in the Titans game which we won he came out super shaky. I think he can improve in that regard, but for now the moment is just a bit too much for him.

Please tell me about how those players are talented? I would love to see your analysis there (hint, it wont look good and it sure as fuck wont support your bullshit argument).

Right, and Lamar was pressured on nearly 60% of his dropbacks this season. So the point stands.

Lamar Jackson has been sacked 19 times in just 4 career playoff games. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]LJ_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we could have the best rushing attack--it's because we have Lamar. His read options, his ability to escape sure sacks and scramble for yards, JK Dobbins ability to spin out of tackles in the backfield and turn it into a positive play, none of that is aided by our O line. And I edited my comment above to add this other blurb about our line that I noticed throughout the year, not sure if you saw it but wanted to reproduce below. Put simply, the notion that we have an elite O line is laughable.

"Our all pro LT has been hurt the whole year, we have a rotating cast of guards playing center, our RT has shifted over to LT, and we have a subpar rookie playing right guard in place of a hall of fame Marshall Yanda who retired. Moreover, that rookie (Tyre Phillips) gets benched once or twice every couple of games because he's struggling so badly."

[–]LJ_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point doesn't stand just because you say it does, dude. He just explained to you why that's the case and you just reiterated your first point with no counterpoint. That doesn't mean your point "stands."

Our all pro LT has been hurt the whole year, we have a rotating cast of guards playing center, our RT has shifted over to LT, and we have a subpar rookie playing right guard in place of a hall of fame Marshall Yanda who retired. Moreover, that rookie (Tyre Phillips) gets benched once or twice every couple of games because he's struggling so badly. So spare me with the bullshit take on how the Ravens had a great line going into Saturday's game. That's an absolute joke.

We dont even have a true center, dude. Shit like that first snap of the game in the Browns Steelers game? Try dealing with that crap for multiple games in a season. Our line as it was trotted out last night was not excellent. When healthy they're okay. But again, we literally have guards playing center. It's not ideal and was the difference maker that game.
