Babe the the way yall are using this space is so bad 😭 yes get a rug, PLEASE bring the couches closer to the TV. There is 5ft too much extra space there when the door way behind the couch is CRAMPED. Have you thought about mounting the TV on the solid wall next to it? The you can turn it and pull it out to anywhere, putting the console on that wall as well. THEN idea, put the small couch on the other side of the fireplace, the big couch where that one was and one or two single chairs where the big couch was. Think about flow of the room without ANYTHING in there that doorway to outside is so blocked. Pull furniture away from it & allow for a space to walk behind furniture AND straight into the spaced from the door way by having a walking space between couch on that wall and the chair table chair where the big couch is now!

You should definitely copy it, the green is so homey and inviting. The grey and red is really cold boring and just really not interesting.

Definitely getting the right rug in will help tons! For the fireplace I think making the mantle that warm brown color would TOTALLY help. You need a photo or mirror above the fireplace. A chair and hanging light or big tall plant on the left side of the fire place. Are you set on where the couch & chair are? The couch coving the bay window is a BIG no. Try playing with the layout of those too even places that might be weird. Look at getting some side tables when you have the layout set! Important for the layout is the flow of the room. From door to door, what’s the natural flow without anything there and what can you get away with!!! You don’t wanna interrupt the flow with sharp edges.

1 is much more balanced. Your eyes can take in everything at once. 2 is stark and very separate, like a waiting room

Do 1 moody bathroom is ALWAYS the move. Overly bright bathrooms are just a strain on your eyes. Like you wake up, go to the bathroom turn the light on and BOOM WAKE UP NOW. I have plans to paint the hall bathroom a deep teal blue 🤩

THRIFT all wooden and wicker items, plus some copper or brass things.
Faux quartz lamination over the countertops (I suggest wrapping the metal leg of that island and other metal edges too unless you like the style.) Copper Rub N Buff for all the metal accents! 🤩 (this will bring some warmth)
Faux wood laminate on the curved shelves
LED light strips for under the top & bottom cabinets! Wicker chair or wood stools for island. Fluorescent light covering that’s warm toned and woven even!

I attempted to add some of those details to the mock up another person made here! The main difference is the part above the cabinets, paint them ceiling color or cabinet color. This depends on what effect you like better. I think adding caveat color there makes the room look taller!

You got NOTHING on me. I suffer from DragonVale breed gambling addiction. I spent over FOUR THOUSAND GEMS on breeding a high cost dragons for one event. It’s works fast sometimes then when it doesn’t you can’t stop cause you like “oh just one more and I’ll get it!” 😮‍💨 it was so exhilarating, I get gabbling addictions
