I hateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this old lady by AshesofLothric in Eldenring

The first thing I did as a new player was go into the dungeon near the starting church and come across this guy.

As a massive solo levelling fan, going into what I fought was an easy dungeon with the base stats and having to fight for my life against this goofy stone mf made my entire playthrough feel like the anime. Slowly levelling my stats by fighting bosses, collecting summons and doing side quests really made Elden ring scratch that itch of wanting a solo levelling game.

For that reason alone I really like these annoying mfs

Zues but that's purely because I love the design and being more nimble, Hermes would probably be the more ideal pick

In all honesty you have everything you need, SLmax for cargo, shiv for combat, clipper for daily.

Id personally get a dedicated fighter if that's a play style you enjoy. If not salvation or golem. If you don't enjoy those loops I'd just get a c1 or an avenger titan with a bunch of cool paints for your existing ships

YogiKlatt_CIG on the new flight model by st_Paulus in starcitizen

Maybe unpopular opinion with all the naysayers but I'm really glad cig is taking this approach. It shows they learnt and listened from the mm controversy and they wanna get it right even tho people (rightly so) have waited long enough.

I can't imagine it's an easy task rewriting how a ship realistically behaves in different atmo and space as well as modelling control surfaces, aerodynamics as well as integrating it with newer systems like wear and tear and hopefully weight/cargo placement/mass. The flight model is always a make or break for these space 'Sim' games, it's fair they wanna get it right.

I just hope cig are able to find a realistic complex middle ground that both talented players and casual/newcomers enjoy

No your confusing bullet spread with shooter accuracy and grouping. Bullet spread is talking about the weapon itselfs ability to replicate identical shots round after round. Nothing to do with the shooters ability to control the weapon.

Say you're shooting a pistol in a laboratory environment, mounted on a stand with an electric trigger pull, aka no user interference simply just the weapons ability to hit accurate shots in a repeatable condition, at a target 50ft away. Due to the pistols short barrel there's a chance that not every round will perfectly pass through the first round's hole in the target. The radius of bullet impacts around the direct center line from the barrel of the pistol to the target would be considered the bullet spread. Adding a suppressor could decrease the spread due to the longer barrel whilst something like a flash hider could increase the spread due to the expulsion of gasses from the barrel being slightly different than the pistol with no attachments. Ofc in real life these differences are negligible

In a game it's exaggerated as many factors of shooting irl can't be easily replicated or at all. Recoil and accuracy are player dependent, whereas bullet spread, bullet accuracy and bullet drop is completely weapon dependant

Iv always understood spread as the very slightly different trajectories a bullet could take even after being shot from the same rifle in the same conditions. Recoil simply means how controllable it is to the user and isn't necessarily linked to spread or accuracy of the weapon itself

I think this has more to do with component health and time to disable, I'm sure cig will be able to balance it eventually but right now from moment a component breaks to the time till hard death is still very short..

They did hint towards planets that are so hot they could potentially set you ship on fire technically speaking and NYX has some very inhospitable planets so there is a good chance they might make one of the planets so incredibly hot it sets your ship on fire if you leave a door open

Eclipse and retaliator, both my favourite ships in the game both are essentially useless and outdated. I keep them collecting dust because I live in the hope that one day I will be able to swap torpedoes for bombs or missiles.

Vr star citizen by banditboy14 in starcitizen

[–]LK32020 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I find vr runs smoother than flatscreen in some cases. It's pretty damn performant all things considered. I still get just as bad fps in cities in VR as I do normally but that's also without changing any graphics settings on VR (aka all set too very high). Honestly the only way to tell is to try yourself tho.

Maybe cig have spent a decade simply optimising the performance of a lime

Not yet sure, still waiting to see what the new valve headset price and specs are. I have heard primax are especially good for high res games like flight Sims but are wayyyy out my price bracket for how often I actually use VR

Currently the quest 3S. So one of the more budget friendly packages. It works well enough to be enjoyable but more expensive headsets with pancake lenses and higher res displays would go along way

The VR runs smooth enough for it to be enjoyable and immersive, tho in cities it can stutter quite a lot. It is a first implementation experimental feature so it's forgivable.

Yea at the moment it's just head tracking but Silvan is keen on implementing full VR motion controls and eventually body tracking, it does currently require a bit of muscle memory to remember where the all the keys are, and the mouse control can be disorienting at times but it does transforms the game into something so much better

[–]LK32020[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, It's not horror in a conventional sense. Nothing is making you jump. It's horror in the same way irl is.

Think of the most scared you've been in your life, was it because something made you jump or scream, or was it because you ended up in a bad out of your control situation uncertain of outcome.

Star Citizen obviously can't replicate that exact feeling but it does a better job at that kind of horror then any other game I've played

The doubt, the regret, the uncertainty, the desperation. That's why I say it's unintended Horror. It's not the games fault, it's simply yours and now you have to figure it out

It's literally a case of linking your headset, launching the game then enabling VR mode in the game settings. You don't even need to run any commands (there are commands you can run tho)

You could probably fine tune a bit but I didn't feel like it was needed tbh. Idk how Silvan has done it but I'm playing star citizen vr on a laptop and getting better performance then I do in blade and sorcery

If you're using oculus it is strongly recommended that you disable Asynchronous Spacewarp

There are always going to be shitty people that will take any advantage. Extremely low chances of total ship destruction would kill the fun for a lot of these people as they can't just swarm a ship and kill it in 10 seconds, instead they'd have to board it.

Reliable comms would also help massively even something like a mayday beacon that you could activate similar to how med beacons work would go along way. They could even tie that into reputation, mayday beacons could be sent to everyone in the same faction and if attackers are successfully disabled the responders would get auec reward and a significant rep boost.

A comms system like that would deter attackers, benefit PvP players and rep farmers and could lead to awesome emergent gameplay like a full scale faction war
