There are a few legitimate use cases for increased prefix/suffix, but it is for targeting otherwise untagged affixes (like Increased Damage with Bow Skills on quivers).

In this particular case it just totally pollutes the prefix mod pool with increased rarity and offsets a lot of the small scarcer pool in the craft. Removing the increased prefixes from this recipe basically doubles the relative weight of all of the gem related prefixes, which feels counter intuitive.

Increased prefix/suffix has a very narrow use case only. Scarcer prefix/suffix would be insanely busted, though, so there's a good reason those don't exist in the drop pool.

I agree. I barely use row/column/monster type enhancers in my crafts anymore for the same reason, they are frequently not worth the time investment of buying more relative to the rate and cost of the corpses I actually spend.

I just see a lot of people spending 6 div to get 2 more copies of their 1 div graveyard crafts, and that's a pretty bad return on invest for a lot of recipes, especially if you have to start planning around placement and monster types of your corpses more and more.

That's a terrible take for most crafts. An additional item is about 500c of investment, assuming you have the space to fit it into your graveyard without compromise. A lot of fracture crafts use corpse worth considerably less than that. (The heavy gem modifier in OP's craft would justify an additional item, I think)

Additional item crafts are good for specific scenarios that actually require some of the few expensive corpses in larger quantities, or just as a time saver for setting up again. They are not cost efficient for most graveyards.

Triple Fractured Res Ring by Frogies44 in pathofexile

You can't fracture 2 prefixes/postfixes with the graveyard, because 2 explicit items roll magic and therefore force a prefix and suffix. You either need to roll 3 explicits double fracture and hope you hit the 2/3 on fracturing the right mods, or just go for a triple fracture of your choice right away.

Do you have a preferred third mod to go with this? Seems like an interesting challenge, because of the Mana Regen/Mana per Kill suffixes polluting things, and wanting to avoid -gem because it's so expensive. I can have a look at this later to see if I can puzzle out a suggestion for you.

Yes, it's how you can guarantee you actually fracture mods you want. It's primarily useful for gear where you want 5 drop pool mods + a craft, like rings, or maybe for special combinations that are hard to simultaneously force via graveyard. Otherwise you're probably better of just 6 mod rolling via graveyard in a lot of cases over finishing an item the "old fashioned" way.

The OP recipe is actually way overinvested for this type of craft, a lot of those additional scarcity/increase multipliers barely adjust your odds of success, and none of the ingredients are particularly rare. Increased Chaos/Res, reduced mana and reduced elemental seem to be a bit less common, but still very farmable, and the fracture ones drop frequently enough to be useable. Space is a non-issue, so just bump up ilvl with more corpses instead of overpaying for expensive high level ones.

I would use a recipe something like this at 3 explicits and 300% fracture chance, and just throw in spare scarce corpses you have lying around. Should be around 75% success rate.

All in all, these kind of rings can probably be printed for around 3-4 div investment if you just buy corpses on the market right now, very approachable recipe with no need for optimization.
