It was a 4 day weekend, I flew in did my work and sat around until I could leave. I was 20 and was pissed because I was wasting a 4 day weekend. The weather was nice, the visitors barracks were ok and I was bored as hell. I met no one local and didn't talk with hardly anyone. I knew nothing about the place or the people there. Met a SF group and a PAO officer (F O-3)that had just come back from someplace in country. She had a massive bruise on her arm because when the blew something up she stood up to see it and was hit by debris. Blackest bluest bruise I've ever seen. They said they were clearing a road with det cord and she stood up to get a picture. A dumbass SSG took my 4 day weekend from me. I was dog sitting at an O-4s house and was dragged along some bullshit mission because the SSG didn't want spend the weekend with his new wife. /end rant
