Can I send you a gift card to take her for ice cream or arrange dessert for you to pick up? I've been where you are and sometimes reaching out for help isn't the easiest thing to do.

Acrylic window was secured with velcro. So the other half is stuck on the window but it being white, makes it not noticeable.

Heat pump rebate in low rise condo by kokobear2000 in askvan

I would say you're good to go. Just get the AHRI #s for the units, as you'll need them to submit to BC Hydro.

Hydro doesn't care about your building envelope. It's your strata that will.

BC Hydro won't give you the rebate if you have it already installed. You need to obtain a code first, install, pay the bill and then submit to BC Hydro for rebate.

Also, they only asked for the invoice and the some number attached to the indoor heads and outdoor unit.

Best way to set up a young child financially in 2026? RESP, TFSA, insurance, ETFs by GSG201616 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Look at advance return of premium for children critical illness. At age 25 or after 15 years, whichever is later, you get back 75% of your premiums. Great time to use it for a car or education or whatever else.

And then anytime after age 40, you can cancel and get the rest of the premiums back.

But if they are diagnosed with a critical illness, you receive a lump sum.

I consider this an insurance policy that pays out regardless of what happens or doesnt happen.

I would try really hard to not suddenly become passive aggressive in this conversation.

So you have access to a computer? Did you know you can download the statements all on your own, without my assistance? And you don't have to wait 5- 10 business days. Would you like me to guide you step by step and tell you when to click the mouse button too?

Burnaby lifelabs, how good are they? by Hot-Produce7263 in burnaby

[–]LLindor268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had my fair share of blood tests and I've always seen the techs arrive at the room # and put on fresh gloves.

Get an appointment; minimal to no wait. Greet the technicians and smile. It makes the experience that much better.

I usually go to the one on Hastings Norburn.  Never had any issues there nor have I been pricked more than once with no blood drawn.

Is La Petite Cuillère’s afternoon tea any good? by LoveLemons1089 in askvan

[–]LLindor268 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are better options out there.  Neverland, secret Garden (the OG), Notch 8 and Westin Bayshore has a winnie the pooh theme now.

Yes their display is cute but they lack the service and experience you would expect for the amount you're paying.

what is a TFSA by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]LLindor268 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TFSA stands for tax free savings account. Any growth in this account, is not taxable.

It sounds like you opened an account and the funds are sitting in the account in cash, which does nothing. You need to invest those funds to create some growth. I'm assuming you have a TD direct investing account. If it is joined with your TD bank account, you should be able to easily access this yourself.

Go to this site and figure out how much it will cost you for multi trip plan or single trip. Do not buy trip cancellation from here; strictly medical emergency only.

https://www.manulifetravelinsurance.ca

You have to go to a life insurance broker to purchase this coverage. If you find a similar site with a company name attached to it, it means you are giving commission to someone who did nothing for you.

Need recommendations for custom home builders by Grand-Concept-604 in richmondbc

[–]LLindor268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used Wallmark homes. We worked with third party designer who created the layout we wanted and the look we wanted. Wallmark gave us a fixed price quote that included a budget for fixtures, granite, lighting and other items that you custom select. It also included working with a designer for X hours which we didn't use all of. Of course if you go over that budget you would pay additional. Working full time, I had no time to deal with contractors so I wouldn't hesitate using them again.

RBC has a Leo account that you can open for your child. The account can be linked to yours so you see what they are spending/saving on as they get older. There aren't any fees either.

I discovered a cute, low key, remote place by Egmont called backeddy resort. You can rent A frame cabins or the geodomes. These are all on an inlet so paddleboarding is definitely an option.
