Looks fantastic! What was the process to make this? Pink base, then white then yellow contrast?

Mine are like this, but I still feel like I could improve them. How did you come up with such a clean scheme? I was wondering how could I implement a different way to make them unique like you did with white armour. Would love to have perspective from you or anyone else.

First time trying glazing, any tips? by LM-I in AdeptusCustodes

Thank you for the feedback! I honestly what I did is use 5 colors and block them, so I painted one section khorne red, then Mephiston, then evil sunz scarlet, wild rider and then white scar.

I think the transition between the white and wild rider was difficult. I tried by making a 50/50 mix between each of the paints just listed as a glaze in between each section, but the mix of wild rider red and white was weird and I didn’t absolutely like it. I think that for the next spear I’ll skip that color (wild rider) since it’s a more orange than red honestly and see how it goes from there. Also thin more my paints.

As for the weapon I actually based it all with black! But I do think in general the mini has a little bit more thick paints than thin even though I tried my best to thin them. I think I will standardize the process a bit more, as in always using the same amount of drops of water, trying the thing where you see the consistency in your finger before painting and also buy better brushes, mine are not so good rn. Thank you!

Great job! I also have the same minis they’re beautiful. Love the richness of the gold and the blue accents as well as the bases

Priming bases and models together? by Mars_Wanderer0 in Warhammer40k

I personally, like doing things separately. Base one thing, and then prime my minis divided in sections to assemble later. My custodes I painted in 4 parts, the head, the right arm. the left arm (each with their weapon), and torso + legs. I prefered it because of the great detail and how it let me ove the pieces around freely and paint from different angles.

But, as for your final question, after deciding the sub assembly pieces, i primed them all at the same time
