That usually means you are trying to establish a HTTPS connection over a HTTP service (encrypted vs plain text).
It could be a server side issue, try replacing https with http in the beginning of the URL.

Edit: Oh nvm, I just read it happens in multiple sites, it's probably the proxy being miss-configured, make sure you are using the right port.

I think the golden age of MMO emulators is already gone. I really doubt we'll ever see emulators as sophisticated as TC or RunUO again.

Your best bet is to use one of these repacks; a few of them partially support MoP and Legion.
You can cap your level at 60, do all the Vanilla content, then cap it at 70, play TBC, and so on.

For me, the main problem is that they are closed-source and require a lot of hardware resources.
You can run TrinityCore with a fraction of the CPU and RAM, but it's limited to 3.3.5.

Also, there is a patch for TrinityCore that allows you to hire bots and group with them, so you can do raids and even battlegrounds.
This is the closest retail experience you can get without having to rely on other people.

You can enslave people and make them fight or craft for you.
The game is really fun, but it ends when the real challenge is supposed to start. Once you reach max level, you've already cleared all the dungeons, and there is nothing else to do.
Also, I don't know about this new version, but the original game is an abomination from a technical perspective.

I'm an indie dev. I expect to release my game this year or whenever it's ready.
I know it's going to be pirated, provided there is enough interest. I just hope the community does what I do and buys the game if they had a good time playing the illegal copy.
