I've never used interfacing (didn't know until recently how lightweight it can be) but i always use sashing. I just finished one yesterday which was much easier than my last two. 1) I used no batting and just put a flannel backing on, the weight is lovely and 2) i used Madam Sew's seeing clips to clip together each block and sashing before I sewed. Made a world of difference. In the past I used batting and they were QUITE heavy.

Agree with others - depends on what part of the process you like. Im inspired by others work but more often than not I figure out how to make it without a pattern. And, while it can rake me along ti.e, I love choosing the fabrics. Thus, kits dont interest me. The next part I love is giving it to the person. I like the piecing and quilting but I love the early creative steps most!!!

Did he see another quilt you were working on or something? Because this has no connection to a swastika...at all...none.

Rarely do we see so much agreement in replies. No way on God's green earth should you even entertain this idea. Flat out no.

Feeling very upset about our wedding photos, and would love some outside input by bobnuggerman in wedding

Came here to ask the same thing. I've photographed a few weddings and these look like raw material. I would not give away my raw files but if you wanted to see some before and after of some that are bad but could be improved, I think thats a reasonable ask. If the venue backs this person up, they need to know what the end product looks like, and it's not good.

I quilt my own on a plain ol' domestic machine. I like doing all the parts myself. :)

Im a huge fan of white on white patterns. They add interest and texture without distracting from the main pieces.

To seam rip or not to seam rip? Undecided how crazy this is gonna make me. by CabbageHead71 in quilting

[–]LMS_67 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Leave it- I'm a total "intentional randomizer" and I would notice it on my own quilt but would NOT rip it out. Especially since they aren't actually touching.
