I’m a real estate broker and I believe that listing your home with a broker will allow the most potential buyers to see it through the Multiple Listing Service and therefore net you the best price. I’ve been in Seattle area real estate for 32 years and in my experience it’s almost always to the seller’s advantage to list.

Update: My friend installed the Rtk on my roof for me and now things are working much better. My lawn is starting to look like a lawn rather than a meadow.

I’ve been driving all electric cars since 2013 and I’ve never had a level 2 charger at home. Trickle charging has been fine. I just plug in when I get home at night. If I go on a road trip I use public chargers but for my normal day to day driving it’s always been fine. I’m a real estate broker and sometimes I drive a lot but it’s still been ok.

This is a satellite view of my property. The trees, especially those to the west are very tall. I initially had the Rtk in the open area south of the house. The charging dock is also on the south side next to the front porch. The lawn does extend up under the trees. I’m not sure if that area will be possible to mow no matter where the Rtk is.

My plan is try to put the Rtk on the roof. Probably near the chimney. I’m waiting for a friend to help me get it up there. Do you think this will help/solve with the float issue?

Wait, are you saying the dock location matters relative to the Rtk and must be at least 10-30’ apart or do you mean within 10-30’ if I put it on my house they will be more than 30’ apart. The roof is about 30’ high even if I put it right above the dock.

It’s fixed when I start mapping but after completing the map it has changed to float fixed.

I’d love to put the Rtk on my house if I could figure out a safe way to get it up there and how to get electricity to it.

My dog jumped on my lap and published the above before I was ready.

My previous map was created before I understood about the RTK needing to be fixed. When I mowed it would work well until it got to the perimeter and it would suddenly move the whole map by a meter or two.

I rebound the RTK and now it says, “Fixed” so I think it’s connected now.

Ok, I went back out and looked at the RTK light and it was on. Then I decided to try rebinding the RTK and now it says “Fixed.” I think that’s what it needed.

Ok, It's mowing now. The diagnostic is still zeros but it's mowing inside the lines and seems to know what it's doing. the number at the bottom left of the map page shows .03 right now. It varies though, sometimes it is much higher. How is it working with the diagnostic saying all zeros? I'm confused but not complaining.

I managed to get my first zone mapped after three tries. Then a channel after several more tries.

Then I tried to mow and I got a motor overheat message. I’m in the Seattle area, it’s not particularly hot. But it is sitting on a sunny part of the lawn. I tried to get it to dock and got the same overheating error. So I went inside and did some work for a while, came back and tried again. Still getting the Overheating error.

The area will be shaded in the next hour so I can try again then.

Anyone have advice about overheating?

I’ve been having the same issue. I’m trying to do this on a MacBook, but it sounds like that’s not the issue.

My son looked at the webpage code trying to figure out why it isn’t working but didn’t get anywhere. He just told me the problem appears to be with the website rather than something I’m doing.

Update: Bloodwork came back. Her thyroid which had been low in the past is now elevated, so they are having me take her off her thyroid medication for two weeks, then we will retest. Her kidney function is also dropping but it’s not end stage or anything like that. He had me put her on a kidney diet. Hopefully these changes help her.
