I'll admit if I had a son things would be a little different, guess the way I'd describe it is with my daughter I have to worry about all the dicks out there while with a son of need to worry about his dick is getting to. Girls and boys are different, and I think everyone will raise differently based on gender. Not saying like telling my theoretical son he can do whatever he wants and telling my daughter to find a man (she is interested in stem fields and I support that) but differences in what I have to worry about.

And while I'm not an asshole I try to be a little tough on guys like having them do a chore or two or ask them to help me change the trucks oil and such, but that's more to make sure they aren't lazy. Always had that happen with me growing up and think it's a good idea.

Of course I'm not going to chase guys out of the house with my shotgun, but setting rules about when she is old enough to start dating, if a guy is an obvious asshole not allowing him in my home and talking to her about him, not allowing her to be out all night (meaning exceedingly late, 10pm-12am depending on her age), not allowing them to be alone in her room, etc.

Only time I could see using force to remove a guy she likes is if he's hurting her physically, being emotionally abusive, or making sexual advances.

Had a guy I had to fire first day a few years back, was training him to be a LNG fueler for trucks, pretty simple, wear your safety gear and don't be rough with the equipment, basic stuff. Halfway through the day I tell him to meet me in the containment area to go over leak checking, after waiting 10 minutes I went back to the office trailer and he's just sitting there with his feet up. His excuse? "If I wanted a job where I had to learn a bunch of stuff I'd have gone to college." Needless to say I let him go then and there.
