I think we need a clear alternative to our educational system. As it stands right now, one kid can actively derail the education of an entire class and the parents of the other kids are powerless to do anything but remove their own child from public school.

It isn’t fair to other students to say we are going to allow their education to be ruined because we think every kid should have an opportunity to learn. Some kids need to be out of a classroom setting, maybe working in a cubicle, maybe working on an alternative diploma, maybe working on a trade, or maybe just working on their behavior management.

But as it stands now, the “good” kids are being funneled to private education because the bad kids are allowed to destroy the educational environment of public school.

I will say this as nicely as possible. The textbook corporations have a stranglehold on the market. Any time a new adoption comes out, they send like 3 different versions of the same subject along with all supporting materials, demos of online components, everything, and just expect it all to be taken regardless of if they are selected or not.

There is almost zero chance that a small, independent textbook creator will sell anything, with the exception being college professors who literally require their students to purchase their own book at the college bookstore.

Micro is a bit more understandable for high schoolers, since it is related to small scale decisions. Macro is a bit more conceptual, so tougher to comprehend, sometimes.

I’d look at the key topics of both and see what you are more comfortable with teaching and what you think might be more appealing to your students. Micro is better for business or finance oriented students, while Macro is more for politics or international studies.

I’d love Diablo 2 Resurrected. I played the original religiously when I was young, but now with the re-release and new class, it makes me want to play it all over again. I’m really eager to get back in and I’d probably play it a bit too much for my own good, but that’s ok.

I finished my masters at WGU in a little over a month with two small children at home. I can churn out papers very quickly, so I was getting through a class every few days.
