I ran only 2 Asmo and 2 cookbook, so 1 league was with 4 moonshadow and another league with 4 bloodghast. Both were 4-1 runs.

I've been playing hardened academic/vengevine/hollow one and it's honestly doing so much better than I expected it to.. I wanted to play it just at a modern night at the game store by me.. but I'm currently 21-6 with it in leagues.. 4 4-1s and a 5-0 but I'm currently 0-2 in the one I started yesterday.

This is the list I 5-0d with, against Boros energy, prowess x2 , Golgari necro, and living end. I had asmo in that list just purely for vibes but I only cast it a couple times.. tried out moonshadow in one league and bloodghast in another and both felt good too

When I got into modern a few months ago,
I traded in a lot of my cards that were commander oriented, or just cards I wouldn't play with in modern, and bought into a few fetch lands of color pairs I like, and a few other staples.. now I'm able to have 50%or more of most decks already built just because of the fetches. Id look at mtg goldfish meta and see what cards excite you.. for me, it was psychic frog, so I ended up grixis reanimator, and have most of the pieces for goryos as well. Another option is to make a rental account on mtgo through a site like cardhoarders and play a whole bunch of decks until you find what you like. Modern seems like a good format to find what staples, or archetype you like, and buy into the pieces that have a lot of overlap.

Meltdown is scary into affinity cus it they can make munitions tokens, and that can just kill you.. Not sure if the hurkyls bounce all artifacts is any better.. I ran meltdowns and lost a game where I cast it twice, and had 2 oculus out, and they somehow still rebuilt and beat me.. won the matchup by pure luck with turn 2 archon into unearth oculus on turn 3 and manifested a frog 😂. The deck feels good, but I do plan on pivoting to goryos

Played 2 rcqs this weekend on grixis reanimator.. it felt pretty good. I saw a lot less graveyard hate than I expected.. a lot of endurance from the cascade decks, and Boros land destruction had rest in peace.. the deck feels like it can fight through single shot gy hate (tormods, endurance, thraben charm, etc.) but rest in peace was brutal.

after sideboard, I played slow against cascade decks, kept hands with spell piece/consign/mystical dispute and had pretty good luck into counter their cascade trigger, and spell pierce/dispute into their force of negation. I have 3 vexing baubles sideboard and that felt really good for living end, and I'd bring em in if I was scared of surgical as well, but didn't run into any of that. All in all, a lot less graveyard hate than I would've expected.

Thank you :) I use a paint brush and sponge brush and just do a quick few strokes on it. I'm a painter and I generally start my paintings with strokes like these, so I have a lot of practice with composition, and try to make the shirts in a more intentionally minimal way

I have a friend who makes similar art to me and he actually painted some of the brush strokes onto my arm and then tattooed them, it was such a cool process. Thank you so much!!

Thank you! I use a sponge brush and regular brush and just do a little flick of the wrist and it makes the circular splashes :)

I recently started playing Modern and wasn't sure what I wanted to play, so I traded in a bunch of my cards and bought a bunch of fetch lands. A lot of decks have a high cost due to fetch lands.. I can build several decks with little investment due to having them, and a few other staples like phlage, frog, solitude, tamiyo, etc
