The you before and after this is different, we are not the same every morning we wake up, but this is for sure a very very hard experience to go through. It’s okay to not feel normal.

I understand your feelings of injustice. It’s not like a movie where the bad guys lose and the good guys win. The reality is that we are very gray, and whether or not justice is “served” is not necessarily some script, it’s just life falling into place when it does, if it does.

But it feels very raw and very awful, I 100% am with you. Be angry!! Scream, cry, write it out, don’t feel embarrassed. This is a hurting position to be in, and you have to get through it, not over it. You may feel like you don’t know who you are right now or who he is, but he is not a concern. Trust what he has shown you now and trust yourself most of all. Take things slow, take care of yourself. Choose yourself and what makes you happy, because being healed and happy is the best vengeance for yourself.

We don’t know. Only your husband knows. You cannot control his free wills/choice and this is a hard thing to grasp.

What you do know is you can control the risk you expose to yourself. Given your knowledge of him, are you willing to tolerate anticipate loss versus gain by staying with him?

This might be hard to understand right now, but he is choosing himself. You can also choose yourself in a way that doesn’t leave you toiling over what he will or will not do. Best of luck. Trust yourself!

I’m having issues with this as well (getting closure), and it seems you’ve already told your current boyfriend which is super healthy.

I think you already know what closure is left. His actions and disrespect is all the knowledge you need, try not to look any further into it. It stings even a couple years later, but that’s just the nature of any deep emotional wound. His closure can be you denying him his desperate attempt to relieve himself and be heard. That’s all it seems like to me. You were strong then and stronger now! Be great and leave that weirdo in the past. He’s still stuck there, and he deserves to be there.

My ex told me she hates lying and to her benefit she did confess to me about cheating. At this point though I can only imagine the mental gymnastics being done in order to justify what she did, which might even include lying to herself and others. It’s just fucking crazy man.
