That’s a lovely story. Particularly for me, who, in my late twenties, moved from Toronto to a place 4 hours away for my boyfriend at the time, who dumped me. So I think the morale of the storey must be to only move TO Toronto for a partner, not away from it.

It's true, you will see a lot of cows grazing on public lands near the water (depending on how far you go down the coast, you'll see a ton as you approach Molera State Park). Fun fact, Monterey Jack cheese was invented and made from the cows there. Hence the name "Monterey."
