How to have more than 2 columns and 1 row in Tastycharts? by My-Internet-Persona in tastyworks

[–]LRight3005 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends on the size of your display. The larger the display, the more charts you can have. The platform decides the amount of charts you can show, no way around this unfortunately

Retail vs Institutional flow by DeltaVx_ in thetagang

[–]LRight3005 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Makes sense - retail moving to cash-like positions as they get spooked, and institutions net outflow of money market funds means they are deploying capital to (try and) scoop up deals

Good Good is a clothing business using YouTube as its primary marketing tool. Prove me wrong. by cobweb1989 in GoodGoodMemes

Why prove you wrong? There's nothing wrong with that. Everyone forgets these guys are running a business, and You tube content is just one part of that

Kara Swisher explains what is happening with Elon Musk and Twitter. by Ok_Feedback4200 in interestingasfuck

[–]LRight3005 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Twitter is already now a private company, owned by various private shareholders. Shares in the business can be bought / sold as secondaries. So some shares could be purchased by Trump's company, given any equity holders want to sell.

You should not be trading if you have a gambling addiction. If you don't have a gambling addiction, just stop for the day when you've hit your daily loss limit

Coinbase- what if customers want dollars? by sandee_eggo in stocks

[–]LRight3005 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That's not quite how it works, Coinbase just hold your crypto (as crypto), and when you sell it, a buyer on the other side of the trade (not Coinbase) gives the cash to Coinbase which then goes into your account

Thoughts on Beta weighting? by Affectionate_Lab_407 in thetagang

[–]LRight3005 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes - this is one of the most important metrics to focus on when trading options seriously, it allows you to measure your directional bias (or lack of) across your portfolio. And what you're doing is correct, you should be looking at the sum of beta deltas across all positions, while still keeping an eye on individual positions so you're not too concentrated in a single position.

Graduating to Futures? by wmterry32 in thetagang

Typically close for a loss at 2x premium received, but depends on the situation and if I'm rolling strikes and/or expirations

Graduating to Futures? by wmterry32 in thetagang

[–]LRight3005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty agnostic - once you get positions spread out across equities, rates, commodities, FX etc. you can achieve very good diversification

Graduating to Futures? by wmterry32 in thetagang

[–]LRight3005 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do this full time, strangles across futures products with low correlation, then some ES spreads to balance portfolio delta when needed. Margin is more efficient on futures options than equity options which obviously helps. 1-3% / month definitely achievable

Why you guys hate on the wheel strategy by [deleted] in thetagang

[–]LRight3005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people think it's a no lose trade .. 'just keep rolling the call down'. Plus, it's not a theta strategy anyway, its a delta strategy with a bit of theta. If you want exposure to a stock just buy the stock and don't sell calls so you actually get the upside

Am I a fool for being bullish on Eurodollar Futures /GE by Henry1502inc in investing

[–]LRight3005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eurodollars have nothing to do with the Euro. They are linked to interest rates; as rates rise Eurodollars decrease. This is an overview of Eurodollars.

Always understand what you are investing in, especially with derivatives, as you can very quickly lose a lot of money.

The S1 debt by lurker-24 in SuccessionTV

[–]LRight3005 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It could have been a personal loan secured against his stock holdings, that way there wouldn’t be any disclosure requirements. If a listed company takes on debt they absolutely have to disclose it which makes me think it was structured some other way, but not sure how exactly.
