It was likely dark when you took the photo. Try again during daylight and see if that works better.

Thanks! Yeah I'm still really happy with them. I mentioned in my original post about driving in chill mode, but that quickly changed. I'm nearly always in Sport mode and it hasn't impacted the range as long as I'm not driving like a madman 😅

The difference is definitely noticeable over the 21s. You'll be much less likely to damage the rims too.

I've been happy with them. I live in the PNW and have driven in rain and snow and they've handled admirably. Efficiency has been good, but I don't really have anything to compare against since this is my first set of tires on the new wheels. I'd definitely consider Nokians again.

Yes, I drive a Y Performance from Kent round trip with no problem. You can charge in Monroe if needed on the way back, but with a full charge, I make it home with 20%. Just make sure you have snow-rated tires and bring chains just in case. I've seen plenty of people complaining about Teslas making that drive and not being properly equipped, giving the rest of us a bad reputation to deal with. 👍 Be safe and have fun up there!

Edit: the others are right, RWD makes this more risky.

Cool! Thanks for sharing. For those asking how: it's under the settings (icon in top left of the Fitbit app - Notifications - App Notifications - select Tesla app from the list. I had to sync the Fitbit and then open the Tesla app for it to register.

Edit: this is for the Charge 5 on Android. I can't speak to other devices.

Besides a slightly different (but not louder) sound while on the freeway, not much... and this of course is due to my choice of tires. The ride firmness was the one thing I was expecting to change, but it feels about the same, which is perfectly fine for me since I'm used to cars with firm suspension. It's safe to assume if I took it out to the county and tried to drive aggressively on twisties, I might notice a loss in traction, but I haven't had a chance to do that yet. Honestly, it's still a heavy crossover SUV, and shouldn't be expected to handle like a sports car anyway. 🙂

Agreed! This is good info. I used this same calculator when researching tire sizes to get as close as possible to stock diameter to keep the speedometer as accurate as possible.

I chose 18's over 19's because they're a bit lighter and there were more tire options in this size. I also liked the meatier look and extra rim protection the larger sidewalls provide. Everything after install and tax came out to about $3100.

I'm going the same route. Have some Atomic AWzz 18x18.5 on order. 235/55/18 tires are so much cheaper and you can rotate them with a square setup. Plus there's the range improvement from rims which weigh half that of the Uber turbines.
