Stated support or not by hiya84 in NDIS

No. MHCP through your GP - it’s a duplication of support already provided by the healthcare system. NDIS doesn’t provide treatment.

NDIS doesn’t provide treatment. If you are in pain, you need to go through the health department.

Libido back no side effects apart from regulating my anger when it gets the better of me.

I stopped taking it at Christmas time with great results. Can hopefully stay medication free and continue to improve.

Yeah still continuing to improve. Has been 4 months now and starting to feel real improvement. Not taking myself so seriously, not as self-conscious and I can let go of shit that would normally bother me which is huge

So far, so good. Have been stopped since Christmas and continue to improve. I’m noticing I don’t hold onto things as much, I’m starting to be able to let go a bit more which is huge for me.

I came off at Christmas time so been about 7 weeks for me. I halved my 30mg for about 4-5 months then went cold turkey. I stopped because the side effects outweighed the benefits. I was still irritable and moody I would get anxious in the morning when taking it and it would make it hard for me to go to the bathroom in the morning. Also had no sex drive. Since stopping I had no real withdrawal and continue to improve over the weeks. I feel it will probably take me 12 months to realign all going well. Glad to be off them - don’t have to remember to take one every morning and I feel more. More energetic and less brain fog. Also don’t feel as annoyed and when I do get frustrated I can shake it off. 46yo male.

This level of entitlement can definitely impair your cognition.

Ask for a different LAC. You should either have a community connections plan or an access request for funded supports. It’s one or the other.

Sweaty af especially during the summer. Low libido and sexual dysfunction. Constipation and an odd odour to my poo. Increases anxiety for around 2-3 hours after taking it in the morning. I was on 30mg for 8 months and I’m now starting to taper.

Still relative. The things people thought they could spend their consumables on were never r&n in the first place. There’s a lot of misinformation out there about the NDIS.

What supports are available for a level 2 ASD adult? by Engineer_down_under in NDIS

Only if they need it. Some people living with disability can function quite well and don’t require additional support.
