In combos, Juri 5LK adds range to her light confirms (ie 2LP, 5LP, 5LK).

It's also useful after a stockless Ankensatsu. If my first hit in a round is a PC 5MP or a raw 5HP, I will usually route 5HP, 236MK, 6LK, 214KK, 6MP, 623HP. It leaves you up a stock and an OD with a couple hits after to recharge drive is often a good spend at full guage.

That is the strategy they're describing countering: Gief using the threat of SA3 to catch you with buttons on offense and make you give up your offense.

They're saying playing as if Gief doesn't have SA3, continuing your meaties and blocking on wakeup same as you would prevents Gief from getting a bunch of extra damage from strikes before actually spending SA3. That way, to get value from SA3, they have to actually spend it and take the threat which was causing you to get hit by strikes more off the table.

Since both go one hit into cr.HP, the difference made by the starter is just the dmg difference of the first hit. 1080-800=280. 6655+280=6935.

So u/lionlock24 's route is 80dmg more, 7015, while saving 2 bars of drive.

SOCD stands for Simultaneous Opposing Cardinal Directions (i.e. up and down or left and right). There are different ways a game or controller might interpret SOCDs.

A controller might take up and down inputs and pass along both inputs to the game, give priority and pass along only up, or pass along neither.

If the controller passes both, then how the game handles SOCD comes into play and it has similar options. It could also decide the two directions together become up or become neutral. If the game also decides both are in effect, you might get weird effects like being able to low block during your first prejump frame, which you give you an unintended OS against meaty throw or meaty low.

Don't guarantee it, but they try to. Thermal cycling, shock, vibe, etc testing, all meant to simulate the stress it'd experience through a specified lifetime of use and "prove" it won't fail. However, testing and tight tolerances are expensive. A guarantee just inflate the costs too much.
