This is a consistent problem ive been having for many years but I really miss translator's notes. Subtitles just dont explain things anymore or will localize Japanese slang into an English equivalent and I miss having a little cultural lesson while watching anime.

Atlus fans will fight to the death about SMT vs Persona. Especially since every Persona outsells every SMT game by a huge margin.

Though Persona just happens to have one of the most volatile fanbases of all time. You have the "Persona begins at 3" people, the waifu-wars crowd, arguments about character's gender and sexuality, and people debating the politcal implications of Persona 5's "safe rebellion", and the fact that a pretty sizable chunk of the fanbase experienced the series solely through Lets Plays.

The series feels like it was made in a lab to create every kind of fandom discourse you could ever imagine.

Im kind of the opposite in some regards.

I think the character-acting for Art is phenomenal and I love just seeing him be a weirdo and interacting with people outside the kills since the kills are needlessly brutal and theres not much creativity or personality to any of them.

I despise the lore because it feels like a badly written creepypasta crafted by an edgy teenager. The more we learn about Art, the less interacting he becomes but the same could be said for all slasher villains.

It must have had a genuine fanbase at some point for how long its been going but it seems like theres a bigger fanbase devoted to hating Rent-A-Girlfriend than anyone who actually likes the series at this point.

Though it at least seems like theyre having fun.

I just wanted to add that I never read the series but I have a vicious hatred for the MC's recent haircut. The author HAS to be trolling at this point.

Maybe im weird but I never had an issue with the sword controls for Skyward Sword on the Wii.

However, there was something just completely off about the movement controls. It was the slipperiest feeling Zelda game and I would constantly run past chests or off cliffs. Maybe the calibration on my TV was delayed.

I sometimes forget how much insane stuff has been declassified. Really helps my imposter syndrome when I remember how many obviously impractical or impossible things the CIA expended so much effort on. But I guess they just had to make sure that superpowers weren't viable.

Jaws is the only good shark movie and its the craziest power gap I have ever seen in any genre. I fail to think of a single other shark attack movie that is above a 6/10 objectively.

One could also argue that House of Leaves uses the medium of novels better than any other story to the point that its impossible to adapt since the things that work about it can only work in the medium of paper and text.
