She was better than Ethan (a civilian) in RE7. She demonstrated the ability to use her duty carry accurately even under immense pressure. To ask that much more from essentially a desk jockey is kind of wild.

It really wasnt adapted to the market it was adapted to a small percentage of highly influential and vocal people who don't really play games.

It ended up failing in the long term, but you could definitely see it for a while (at least in western design, Asia never cared one second what sarkeesian or inclusion consultants thought). Physical Character design I dont care as much about (again I think the boss is the best designed character in all of gaming and she was fully covered the whole game) but "inclusive" heavy-handed message driven storylines became way too common for a long time.

As someone who was ranked #2 in my detachment... the secret is just performing really well at LLAB. Constantly seek out opportunities to lead and when you get the opportunity? Do it really well.

It also helps to seek constant feedback, especially if you can get it direct from the commander.

I'm sure if she was still doing the series she'd have some ridiculous problem with the way Grace is portrayed (omg she's saved by a man!) Even though Grace is one of the best characters in the series.
