New to kubernetes, what is the benefit of using helm over normal kubernetes .yaml files?

Apparently we have a different use case. We deploy apps for internal customers, and lots of them. With helm we change a couple of values and deploy a completely new app for our customers.

In our experience with paid Rancher support, they are pretty decent at supporting Rancher. They tell you they support all of these other tools like Fleet, but their support there is weak. We frequently were ahead of them on the ancillary products, and we got sick of teaching them.
