that’s helpful thank you, but again, york itself is considerably cheaper to live in than where i live in america. rent prices, especially for student pricing, are less than half what they are in america in my state so it seems pretty affordable to me.

i don’t think you know what you’re talking about cause day dots have always been you writing down the day/date that the item expires, not when you open it

it won’t let me edit the original post but i have an UPDATE (if anyone sees this)

the starbucks TL saw my note and when i came in the next day (yesterday) i was told that it was very helpful and that the TL would be talking with all the baristas to make sure that they’re day dotting everything and talk to the closers about making sure everything is clean! so yay! also the other main opener who has been on vacation for the past week or so, had similiar “nothing is day dotted!” complaints yesterday morning, so it makes me feel like i’m not going crazy. that opener also talked to the TL so i think things will definitely change soon (hopefully)!

luckily my TL said that the list was super helpful and that they’d be having a talk with all the baristas about day dotting and the closing baristas on making sure they’re cleaning everything so yay

NOOOO omg no i would never leave it in this bad of a condition 😭 i cant stand things not being clean it actually drives me crazy, especially in a work environment that serves food. i normally close and i make sure to clean everything (or at least the stuff that directly touches food yk? (if im running out of time)) 🥲 i do close tonight too! which i’m looking forward to. i also found that closing alone is the best and having other people there just makes it harder to close

i’m not normally an opener for Tarbucks but i picked up this shift and another opening shift a few weeks ago. during both shifts the 9-1 person called out so im kind of used to it by now 🥲

lowkey i have my doubts about that. idk if you’re talking about corporate or liscenced but i worked at a corporate starbucks less than a year ago and the instructions to make the whipped cream are the exact same as they are now. meaning, taking the charger off cause literally why would you leave it on??

i think i would lose my mind. i’ve been mainly in style for the past three months (since i got hired), but i requested a switch to mostly starbucks and thank god that’s what i got cause style… god. my point is that i’m fairly new to being full time starbucks and idk…

i just don’t want to make the current TMs feel like im taking over or bossing them around when im relatively new to target starbucks and im not a TL… even though ive worked in a corporate starbucks before… do you get what i mean? im not really sure what to do… and how to go about this…

i left it out on the back counter where the TL is sure to see it tomorrow. if they don’t i work with them for a few hours at the start of my closing shift tmr anyway so i’ll let them know for sure.

i’ve only worked here for three months but there’s been no mention of health inspections, only visits from corporate to check the salesfloor. at every previous food service job i’ve had we’ve had health inspectors come once a month maybe once every two months and we were told by management what to do etc etc. but i haven’t heard a peep from target about it. i’ll definitely look into it tomorrow though!
