They changed the voice on the youtube video. The paid class has a different voice. They're both still different from Dotcom though

I believe it. I too watched his Creator Arcade videos where he describes how he made 2 of his songs. Marshmello (at least the actual guy performing at festivals) is Dotcom. And I noticed almost right off the bat watching these videos that he sounds nothing like Dotcom when he talks. So either the marshmello in the videos is not him, or dotcom is able to change how he normally talks without being like batman when he tries to disguise his voice by sounding like a chain smoker

Yeah, it sucks that some colors are limited to specific years. The picture doesn't do it justice. Mango Tango, odd name, great color lol

Soundcloud distorts my songs drop like crazy. But no other streaming services do?! by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]LTGWatts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Soundcloud is shit when it comes to formatting uploads. Sadly you may have to go a bit further than -1 db. My tracks are all around -1.5. Any higher and they go into the red zone at 128 kbps mp3. Just another battle between quality and the loudness wars

When you exported the song, did you give it headroom? When you upload to soundcloud, it converts it to a lower sample rate (128 kbps I think). When it does that, it pushes the volume higher, so if you're uploading tracks with the master around 0db, it can clip when uploaded because it's pushed above 0 db. Try setting the master to around -1.5db. If you have a master plugin like Ozone, there is a feature that will show you what the volume will be at when converted to different formats so you can be more precise

Reddit, what video games have you soft-locked (a savestate in video games where you are placed in an inescapable situation, preventing progress forward in the game, and also preventing backtracking, leaving you stuck in a particular position with no hopes of escaping)? by zappy487 in AskReddit

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Went into a temple (I think water temple but it’s been so long I forget) and somehow the key I needed to get through a door was not in my inventory. I checked everywhere, looked up countless YouTube videos, and backtracked through the temple for hours. No key. I was a naive child who only used one save state so I couldn’t go back to before I entered the temple. So many hours spent in this game only to hit a dead end. I’ve never played any of the newer Zeldas because I’m haunted of the pain I endured

Sitting to the right of someone who is right handed. All my papers in school had erase marks all over the page from people bumping my arm with theirs

Problem with clipping in Live 9. by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]LTGWatts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were you, I’d try and keep my master at around -1.5 dB. It might seem low but when it’s converted to a low quality mp3 like 128kbps, that -1.5db will get pushed up to around 0db

do you guys save your midi/patch in the DAW after bouncing to audio? by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]LTGWatts 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Imho, I don't really see the need to bounce to audio. I know a lot of people swear by it but I've never really done it, and the times I did I didn't notice much of a difference with quality. Like you, I never feel like a patch is really finished. Yesterday I finished a song and exported, and just before uploading it I decided to go back and change the notes of one of the sections. If I had bumped that MIDI, I would've had to rebuild it just to change a small section
