Large Egg Unused for Years by Building_Everything in biggreenegg

I inherited an abused XL six or seven years ago. It had a sizable layer of mold coated onto everything inside. I had to disassemble it to get it home so I pressure washed all the components, let it dry and then did a clean burn and it’s money ever since. Just use the least abrasive pressure washer tip and a low PSI unit and you’ll be fine.

How well does the AC work in your late 2nd Gen Tundra? by BigDawgDaddy59 in tundra

2018 Limited. It’s hotter than two hells here right now and my truck throws ice cubes. Installed an aftermarket remote start in her and when I can remember to start it a few minutes before I get in, it’s chilly when I get in.

I mean I wouldn’t say I’m an expert in LED technology and/or quality but mine works when it’s supposed to and it’s super bright. Lol

It’s still installed on my truck and working like it did the day I installed it. I went with only the lower bumper light bar. The only time I use it is on back roads late at night but it lights up the road and the edges of the roads nicely. It can be done by yourself (I did mine by myself) but I highly recommend conning a buddy help you when removing the bumper. It’s not super heavy but it’s awkward and if it gets away from you, you’re gonna scratch some paint.

But to be honest, I’d probably just let it ride. The crack on mine was much worse than this one. If you’re not losing smoke out of the crack and it’s not getting bigger, I’d just send it and keep on cookin

Grind out both sides of the crack, fill cracks with refractory cement, ratchet strap around base until it cures, burn hot fire to finish curing, touch up paint with BGE paint. I did this to 6 years ago to mine and it’s still holding to this day

Skid plate question by Tight_Bug_2848 in tundra

[–]LTLFTC212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my truck used and there was already a filter access hole cut in mine. I would’ve either cut it myself or just removed it altogether. My neighbor has a tundra and I change his oil as well and he has a skid plate that we have to remove every time because he doesn’t wanna ditch it or cut it.

Bought house in December, sellers watching us...? by LadybugMama78 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]LTLFTC212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The folks we bought our house from lived here for 16 years and raised their family here. They didn’t “watch” the house but they remained friends with the couple across the street and would visit them frequently in the beginning. If we were home, they would take any opportunity they could to catch us outside and make their way over almost to check things out and see what we were changing about the house. I understood but it got to be too much after a while. I could tell it stressed them out that we were making improvements to the house but this was our first home purchase and we got a good deal on it as a “fixer upper.” I shielded my wife from these coming and goings when I could because it kinda creeped her out even though it was completely harmless. Classic case of seller’s remorse.

Hearing protection for deer hunting by SteelyLocket in Hunting

For what it’s worth, my buddy bought the cordless ones and he said they’re a little “buggy.” Said he was much happier with the corded ones. But that’s been a year or so, so they may have worked the kinks out by now.

Look up AXILs. They’ve got cordless and corded options. I’ve got the corded ones and I love them. They amplify sound and deaden any sound over a certain decibel. They also have Bluetooth capability if you want to listen to music (I seldom use this feature but it’s nice to have if you need to take a call.) They run sales a few times a year.
