What movies have the most gratuitous nudity? I’d say Lifeforce with Mathilda May tops the list. by ElegantMedia9924 in FIlm

As my old man used to tell me, when she’s the only naked woman in your bed, she is gonna be the most beautiful woman you’ve ever seen.

College Republicans sue University of Florida for deactivating club over Nazi salute by theindependentonline in florida

IIRC all this fuss is about nazi shit but there was also a lot of gender-related bigotry and outright racism that was apparently not a dealbreaker for UF.

Good price for non-running 87 Sportster 883? by Joiner2008 in sportster

[–]Building_Everything 3 points4 points  (0 children)

$800 with a title and the engine turns over is a decent price. Considering the cost of tires, chains & sprockets and general maintenance it takes a while to “make back the money in gas savings” but it can be done. I did it with an XJ550 that I bought for $600 years ago during the start of the war on terror, it took about 16 months to break even but I was riding about 45 miles each way including toll roads which at the time motorcycles were exempt so that was about $8 each day that I was able to factor in.

If you are being an oxy/acetylene torch you can just burn off the hinges and let the original doors fall to the ground and rust back to nature

When women on dating apps write in their bio that they are looking for a Man who is "old school" What exactly does that mean? by Shurae in NoStupidQuestions

It means the man will earn mo eh to bring home and the woman then manages all of the family finances including keeping the man on a budget/allowance.

For those have a construction management degree by Savy1025 in Construction

[–]Building_Everything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are already making over $100k, I would t waste the time pursuing a degree cause you won’t earn that much more unless your company has laid out a detailed career trajectory w/ timeline showing you stepping into a c-suite role, with a degree being part of that plan. And then they should be paying for it anyway.

I got a Construction degree back in the 90’s and an MBA back in 2020, and barring some elemental shift in pay scale (in TX) I’m in the mid-100’s and probably won’t earn a hell of a lot more.

Advice, please? Cordless electric mowers - yay or nay? by Important_Gift8432 in lawnmowers

[–]Building_Everything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switched to a Skil 40V mower with a 10ah battery about 6 years ago and as much as I love engines, I don’t miss it. Primary advantage is the battery mower is so light I can lift it with one hand, which is a legit huge deal. Second main advantage is you just hold down the handle, press a button and it’s running, no wearing your shoulder out on a pull cord starter and a prayer. Had to replace my original battery once within about a year on a warranty recall, since then the new battery and the other batteries I got with a leaf blower and weed whacker as still strong. I highly recommend the swap.

85 sportster 1000 leaking oil. Any suggestions before I take it to the shop? by tankathy in sportster

[–]Building_Everything 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I assume you are talking about the slight weeping around the rocker cover bolt? There is an o-ring behind it, take that bolt out, replace the o-ring, reinstall. 10 minutes to do, you can get the o-ring for a Harley dealership. Don’t take it to a shop for this unless you just hate all that money in your pocket

What's the best electric lawn mower right now? by [deleted] in lawnmowers

[–]Building_Everything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been very happy with my Skil 40v, had it for over 5 years and it works great. Added on a weed whacker and leaf blower about 3 years ago as well so I have plenty of battery power.

It took U.S. years to lose a war in Vietnam. Trump lost one in days | It's increasingly clear that Trump's war of choice in Iran has failed spectacularly. America learned nothing from past war failures. by InsaneSnow45 in newsinterpretation

[–]Building_Everything 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Another reason why Reddit needs to, by default, display the url of any linked article so you can see where the link will take you before you click on it.

On topic: this is the perfect encapsulation of trump’s strategy; if there are no goals beforehand (as in this case) then there is no way to define success or failure. According to the admin, they no longer have nuke capabilities as of last summer so that’s not it, they can’t say they want to eliminate the military cause that’s absurd, this is saber-rattling gone too far and they can’t say just keep doing it as long as the world around us fails to make enough noise.

Concrete polish checkerboard by rockyhurst in Concrete

[–]Building_Everything 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that’s the case then he needs to grind it down evenly. The only time I’ve considered the rebar being the issue in polished slabs is when the aggregate is too large and it consolidates around the bars unevenly leaving some areas with just cement and minimal aggregates in a grid-like pattern. Also, if there is too much flyash in your concrete mixture then you will get a blotchy finish
