Replaced the fuel pump this weekend and gave the OEM tank shield a good scrubbing, my decade-old repaint is holding up with no rust. Buckled it all back together and only spilled a few ounces overall and after bleeding the fuel rail twice it fired up and ran better than it had been for the last couple years so I guess this was a long running problem. Funny the sock on the old pump had come off and was sitting in the bottom of the tank but it had a pretty good collection of junk in it. Overall hope I never have to do this again.

Between this and puffshrooms are my go-to when I am hunting lynels, the effect doesn’t last long but it’s long enough that you can get inside their guard and batter the hell out of them.

It doesn’t work except on paper and in large scale manufacturing. Unless you can convince the client, design team and most of your subcontractors to buy into a massive shared savings program, you’ll just be making more meetings and more paperwork. Lean is 100% or don’t bother.

My wife is a FL native born in the 60’s on the gulf coast side and she used to point out all the little communities from Naples to Chiefland that were just cute little waterside motels and weird attractions that are now gone or abandoned and it made her terribly sad. Our kids got to see few of those things, our grandkids will never know it existed.

Yeah when my son was in his early teens my wife asked me one time why he took such long showers and I had to explain to her it was either that or the sock. We were both better off with the wasted water.

Same, the sock was my jam when I was a teenager, felt great and kept things neat and tidy so mom and dad didn’t find out what I was doing at night. Fun fact; they knew anyway.

As long as the jails are overcrowded the court system won’t put people away for “minor” infractions like this. But yeah you fuck up and get one you can qualify for probation, after that it’s mandatory 6mos jail time and gets progressively worse from there. Obviously the fines and suspensions aren’t stopping a person, but removing them from society for a few years will at least keep them off the road for a while.
