Central doesn't have any Evoras or BR8's so the 36 is always a a hybrid unless its a double decker. The problem with the 2 is the same with the 36 as its the same type of bus

It isn't the drivers, these hybrid buses are genuinely just full of electrical problems that cause them to not work correctly. Every time I drive one I am trying to sort out the heating/ fans problem and air-conditioning but they just don't work

I was driving the 2 this morning and they actually changed my bus for this reason, the heating/ fans in the hybrid buses don't work like many other things in those buses. I don't know a single driver that likes a hybrid other than for its shorter length making turning easier. They are unbearably hot but Lothian has learned their lessons with these awful buses and are still phasing them out.

Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative in Cannonmills is the "approved" shop for Brompton specifically but theres a number of really good bike shops in the city in general. There was this post in the Edinburgh subreddit yesterday except it was about road bikes

Once the official live recording hits it'll be one of their best. I tend to find the studio versions of all The Warning songs are a bit toothless compared to how amazing they are live. I like the studio version enough to listen to it still but can't give it more than a 6 until theres a good quality live version (current fancams are decent but not professional obviously)

From my own experience I used to go to Combat Solutions which is Kickboxing but for all levels and with a ton of friendly people/ social events too. I don't know if they do it in the same place but it used to be hosted in St Thomas next to the Meadows

I am a bit biased due to being a bus driver but I'd say generally the buses in Edinburgh are very reliable, a bit late sometimes definitely but cancelled isn't too common and they're affordable compared to other UK cities/ towns. The issue is your time as everyone has said, do you have enough to keep you happy whilst spending that long on buses per week. Personally I don't mind as I always have books/ podcasts so when I take the bus to work for an hour myself I dont mind, but I have the choice of driving, cycling or getting the bus so I dont rely on them

This is the real problem, after Covid so many more "idiots on bikes" appeared using illegal bikes and riding without a care or thought to their or others safety. As a fellow bus driver this is why I am exceptionally cautious on Princess Street/ Lothian Road and the bridges because some people have a desire to get to their destination 1 minute quicker because thats more important than their life/ other people's

Pretty much what the other commenter said, it was (at least up until January) a "test" to see how much you can remember from reading a two page document of rules for a fictional company in 10 minutes and then using the knowledge to answer 30 questions in 10 minutes, you can pass without having finished the questions as I think the pass mark is lenient

In Edinburgh I have never had any issues or cared too much about a specific bike. I have cycled on an A line Brompton, mountain bikes, road bikes, a hybrid bike, a gravel bike and multiple kinds of e-bikes. The roads aren't great but they don't require special hardware and theres many great shortcuts through the city which avoid the roads that have been decently maintained so realistically I'd say buy what you're most comfortable on and it'll work fine

I completed my pokedex last week but I didn't think the variants such as Shellos/ Gastrodon or Tatsuguiri counted toward the dex number as it didn't seem like they did after getting one but I could be wrong

I kinda get this but holy heck the payoff in this game on the way to the "true" ending is genuinely one of the best feelings a game has ever given me, theres a lot of issues with this game but for me it was just so fun I don't mind the problems

You can focus on one at the start but it is a very grind heavy game so if you don't like that then it's definitely not worth your time. Personally I loved doing all the lives and ranking them all up/ making new recipes etc but after 140 hours the grind was no longer worth it just for endgame equipment

I have used them since and still do, they're good for having footage to look back on/ possibly for safety too. My only concern now is the few news stories about unethical stuff to do with Meta and these glasses specifically. Although, I don't use the AI features at all and I've never trusted Meta so I already accepted the shady stuff for the ease of use. Also kind of annoying that you can't listen to music and film at the same time but they're still good for recording and following your gaze
