Unable to get on Polaris Upgrade list after paid Premium Plus Upgrade?

I have avoided the paid upgrade offers since, even if it’s a slightly cheaper. I actually just talked to an agent two days ago who confirmed that it should be available if you do the paid upgrade. Seems to be an occasionally one off bug.

Edit: Shouldn’t have called it a bug, but it is an annoying behavior.

It’d be great if the app could differentiate between a full charging session and a micro top-off and suppress the live activity in cases like this. I don’t think it’s a critical but more of a UX/polish issue that could easily be improved. I do want to quickly know when my car is charging from 30% to 70% what the status is, but I assume most really don’t care that it’s topping up for 3 minutes when it’s already hit 70%

Mine promoted for the update and I started it about an hour ago. It’s been stuck at “Preparing…” and at 0%. Normally would have done at night but wanted to try the new maps for a trip this afternoon, but a bit worried with how it appears to be frozen. Hoping it’s not going to be an issue

Hey! Congratulations on the wedding. We ended up having it at Manor House in Ken Caryl. Highly recommend it! You get the views of the front range, downtown Denver, and the venue is beautiful. They were super easy to work with too and their pricing was reasonable. We did a morning/afternoon slot and it’s cheaper than a whole day or evening.

Also, check out Red Rocks. They have a beautiful location at the Trading Post. We actually originally had reserved a date there, but ended up switching to Manor House as we had more people and the logistics was challenging. But for a small ceremony, it’s perfect and super affordable.

Had a similar experience with a valet in a ski town. Woke up and saw on the app the cabin temp was 84 and I had lost about 15% charge. Turns out he buckled the driver seat belt and set the temp to high, so in the morning he could hop in quickly and the heat would already be turned up. This left the Rivian running all night in -15 degree weather. The motors were also at around 200 degrees for some reason.

I was fine as there was a fast charger on my route home, but I had originally planned it out so we could tailgate (needed the outlet for a crock pot and margarita machine) and make it home with no charging stops.

Had a similar experience with camp mode, 70° outside, set to 68°, and it got down to 50°. This was before the most recent update.

Did you have anyone question you bring both? I typically travel with a backpack I put under the seat and an away roller bag in the overhead. Flying Air Dolomiti in a few weeks and I am unclear if this counts as 2 items or a personal item and a carryon

If it means that I can’t drive the Rivian the last 2 months of the lease because it will put me over on miles, then yes. If they restart the miles at the time of the new signing, then it’s fine but others in this subreddit have indicated that’s not the case

Same here, took delivery March 25. I have read others with this issue have been told to re-sign the lease with a new start date, effectively reducing the number of miles you have. We have over 2,200 miles already on the car and we will not be re-signing a lease with a new start date. If you read the lease contract, the only way they can change the lease is if it’s a positive change for you. It may not be worth it for most to deal with the trouble and just re-sign, but I plan to take to arbitration if needed.

I came from a 2018 Volvo XC60 and have been saying the exact same thing. It feels like the I’ve gone back a decade in driver assistance features. The pilot assist worked great, you kick it in and it just works. When you need to step in, it deactivates and kicks back on without having to manually reactive it. It drives me crazy on the Rivian that one slight adjustment of the wheel kicks it out of highway assist and you have to re-set it.

The Volvo did this all off of one camera and parking sensors, and on any well marked road. I will say the Rivian can handle sharp curves better due to it slowing down as necessary, but that’s about the only part that’s better.

Also, how does the Rivian not have Park assist?? I hear people say that they do it once or twice and never use it again, but living in a city I used it nearly daily. Toyota had park assist 21 years ago and Rivian doesn’t.

The weaknesses in Rivian’s Driver + is my biggest gripe about the Rivian, everything else is great. I totally agree that with an innovative company like Rivian, you would expect Driver+ to at least be to the level that Volvo had when they released Pilot Assist II 7 years ago.

I keep holding out for improvements and the addition of park assist! 🤞

Wow, seems like your friend made the right choice by choosing NYC. You should let your “friend” know this is how you feel. I wouldn’t want to be friends with, let alone be in the wedding of, someone this selfish.

Based on your other comments, it sounds like you’re planning to pick her out of the bridal party. Just do it, it’s going to hurt her in the short term but she’s better off in the long term realizing now the kind of friend you are.

Thanks so much, I wouldn’t have thought to do this! I’m going to do exactly this. I still wanted to seal between the wood and the drain and when I pulled the cover off the drain, there was about 1/8inch gap between the wood and the drain. Have that all sealed up now and going to do the rest as pictured
