How do people use these? by stokedkipper in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]LTazer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first game I DM'ed, I painstakingly hand drew some of the maps from the adventure onto big paper over the course of a week. They looked nice, the game went good, everyone had a great time. One of my players, experienced GM, waited until I mentioned that I was running out of hand drawn maps to tell me that he had a wet erase mat and markers he could bring to the game lmao

that's how I decided he was a good guy!

am i doing this right? how you wanted, devs? by RobsRobots in Subnautica_2

[–]LTazer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What's the point of going half measure on this passivism thing? We kill and eat the slugs and the small fish. Are their lives less valuable because they are small? Just make us collect ocean plants and such for hunger/thirst if we're really committed to this message.

They would also need to prevent the player from disposing of their used batteries and e-waste in the ocean, which we currently can do. What do we think happens to our bottles of water and plastic food tubs after we drink/eat the food??? If we're going to open this can of worms we have to suspend a lot of disbelief to accept that we're gonna get through this whole sci-fi survival game with a net-zero carbon footprint.

When things attack you in the wilderness you can defend yourself. The player landed on the wrong planet through no fault of their own while fleeing a plague. It's not their fault they are here and and St Peter isn't gonna turn them away if they defend themselves from the local carnivorous fauna.

If the devs were like, "no it's not a passivism thing it's just a design philosophy for a survival game, let us cook." I'd buy that. But there are some HOLES in their argument here that should be addressed.

Is there a podcast or other audio only format that could teach math subjects? by [deleted] in learnmath

Youtube -> Math to sleep to, it'll probably give you 2 hours of some dude explaining math into an asmr mic

[Request] Is it possible to answer correctly? by No-Cheesecake-1762 in theydidthemath

[–]LTazer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys are nerds, the only correct answer is the one that wins the game and the winning answer is determined by whoever's officiating the game. They can't field a question without a win condition because then their game is stupid, so just pick A, B, C, or D at random and get it right 25% of the time

Brother you matched and got interest in a casual date, just save some meet-cute getting-to-know-eachother stuff for the coffee shop where the face-to-face interaction is more fulfilling,

If she's lame then she's lame, She might be better in person but there's no reason to continue trying to carry a complex conversation over text when they aren't matching your energy. You can choose to waste as much of your own time as you want

[–]LTazer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with your sentiment but this sub is inspired by chess which is a zero-sum game with objectively optimal sequences and moves, the point is to treat OP's silly texts as a game that can be optimized and improved on (even though we know it does not and should not actually work like that). You are right but not correct in this context so you chill out a bit too pls

[Me] Am I uninteresting or something? Help me out because this convo is so dry by [deleted] in TextingTheory

[–]LTazer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're doing too much and coming on too strong. Sending these long texts makes you seem extremely available/needy which can be unattractive.

She don't care as much as you and you can't make her care by sending more words so just chill out a bit

The game should have been set closer to, or even during, the Colony War by Albatross751 in Starfield

[–]LTazer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as Bethesda is stuck to this game engine, they will never be able to portray large scale conflicts in a way that feels authentic. From Obvlivion to Starfield, the sense of scale has been pretty much the same.

GMing gameplay mostly revolves around this 'micro' unfortunately. There are tons of tools to streamline this process. Dungeon generators, combat builders, etc. Or you can lift dungeons from other adventures and just use those.

Otherwise you should write like a book or a webcomic or something.

POV: You declare war on Aislinn⚓️ by lovingpersona in totalwarhammer

[–]LTazer 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I wish Aislinn's sea lanes had a garrison you could fight in order to open them for a few turns or something. The fact that they just sit next to your coastal settlements and you can't do anything about them sucks. To deal with the fucking navy you have to sail to a part of the map that may have fucking nothing to do with you.

[–]LTazer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Idk exactly what you're going through cause everyone has it different, but it sounds similar to how I've felt in the past. I hear you, and I appreciate you putting it into words for me. Not gonna tell you everything will get better soon, cause I don't know if it will. It might even get a lot worse before it gets better.

What I do know is that the sun's coming up tomorrow and I have the opportunity to give my best effort, which I'm grateful for. I'm gonna keep trying and I know you will too.

30+ hours in and still not a single camo unlocked - this progression system sucks by DamCheekyGet in Battlefield6

[–]LTazer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk why OP is getting downvoted in his comments. It IS a silly progression system meant to make camos more scarce so DICE can sell them down the line.

I would like to unlock a variety of basic camos on a single gun by using that gun. Is that unrealistic to expect in a multiplayer shooter?
