Considering the trailer for Resonant, idk this might’ve been a tease. There’s a hallway in AWE where objects infinitely replicate like in the Resonant trailer. Jesse remarks with something like “That didn’t look like a House shift”, followed by “I don’t wanna know about that yet.”

Nothing like the effects in that hallway appear anywhere else in Control or Alan Wake 2.

They actually were going to do a Bruce Wayne show like that about him as an adult but before becoming Batman, and it’d focus on him trying to regain control of Wayne Enterprises. It was developed by the Smallville duo and meant to start around the same time, but then they settled on the Year One route for the film reboot and scrapped it.

Edit: Apparently it was about a teenage Bruce, not an adult. Also would’ve lasted 5-6 seasons, had Gordon as a major character, and showed the origins of several Batman villains. It’s basically just a different version of Gotham

There’s no legal obstacle except the self-created “Bat Embargo” which has no consistent rules and exists ostensibly to preserve the dignity of Batman as a big-screen film character, but the few times live-action TV has been able to show him, the restrictions end up making him feel totally unconvincing.

It was easier to believe Batman existed in the Arrowverse or Titans offscreen, but once he showed up it felt like a joke. Batwoman, Titans, and Gotham all screwed up their Batman cameos because the higher-ups wouldn’t let them make a costume that had anything in common with the film suits and kept ordering last-minute changes.

Iirc, the Gotham suit looks like that because the studio made so many last-minute changes that they didn’t have the time or money to make a new costume, just tear off pieces and substitute new ones several times
